Small Sub With Big Boom,

This review is from: Sony XSLB12S Slim Line Subwoofer with Enclosure (Electronics)
I bought this subwoofer about 3 years ago for my Chevy Cavalier. Having a compact car is already bad enough, but giving up your entire trunk space for a huge enclosure is even worse. So I decided to buy this item bacause of its shallow design. I'm still impressed with the thump it delivers and the sound in general of this subwoofer. By the way, I'm powering it by a Kicker 750.1 at only 375 Watts. I would use a 2 Ohm load but unfortunately the sub only runs on 4. Still a great sound for such a small sub running on only 375W. I guess it's true. Quality of amp and sub is way more important that number of watts. So, if you're looking for a reliable subwoofer that doesn't take up a lot of space, this is the one to go with. Especially now as you can get it so cheap.

I bought this sub to replace the Panasonic 12" enclosure box that I previously had and I was pleased with the sound that it produced; however it took up a lot of trunk space in my Mitsubishi Eclipse. After I installed this subwoofer, I was very pleased with the sound that it produced and the added space that it gave me. Well worth the money!

The title says it all; this is a compact sub with a decent sized punch. It is rated at 300w so it's not meant to shake the ground but it has a very good sound for the price range. I would definitely recommend for a small car or light truck that is just looking for an upgrade.
