The tablet got strong reviews on a number of sites. I purchased a remanufactured model which was said to have been thoroughly tested prior to being shippped. I was excited to get is because I was about to take a trip and wanted it for entertainment on the plane, at the airport etc. It was fundamentally defective upon arrival. When I tried to watch something on Netflix or Youtube or google, the tablet would just keep buffereing without apparently picking up the signal. I also bought, at around the same time, based on reveiws, a much less expensive tablet, a Hisense. It is only an 8 inch tablet while the Experia is over nine inches, but the smaller, less expensive tablet works great, responsive, sharp picture. Most disappointing is that I had to cover the costs of shipping a defective product back to the Amazon subcontractor.

Bought as a gift for the wife. Oops, my wife, (not an object). Anyway, she uses it daily and enjoys it.

Absolutely worth the money! I'm on a fixed income so cost was important. I was torn, Kindle are great but won't run many of my "Google apps", I've tried /used Dragon Touch, Acer, and others. This was the simplest set-up, has very good response, the best WiFi I've had in a tablet, pretty good display and so far, a very non-frustrating user experience. It has lots of on-board storage, this one is 64Gb (but no coffee cup holder :) ). My belief is that it is a very good purchase. I will do an update after a few weeks of use. At this point, I love it

Picture quality is *amazing,* sound is good. What I really LOVE about it is the charger socket and the actual charger are both durable. I have had a bad charging experience with a Lenovo tablet, and I can't tell you how frustrating that is. This model also has splash-guard....you can't SUBMERGE it in water, but it is resistant to spills.
Speed of the tablet seems pretty decent but to be honest I really just wanted a tablet that was durable, and this fits the bill perfectly.

I bought my Xperia S tablet several years ago. I'm looking to get the Xperia Z tablet now. My Xperia S tablet has always worked great. The battery, with constant use, lasts a long time. I play games, check e-mail, and do searches on the web. It is user friendly. When doing Bible study, it is really fast in looking up Scripture. Faster than my Kindle Fire HD. I also downloaded books from Amazon and Google. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I have had a problem getting a second power cord for charging. I like to keep a backup. It's hard to find accessories for it. I had a 32g Scandisk card in it but it didn't recognize it. I had to order a Sony card. Also, even though it said 32g memory, you only get about 10g on the device and have to add the 32g card to actually have that amount of memory. I use my device every day.

The off/on switch is cheaply and it eventually caved in which has rendered the tablet useless. It also would freeze and not work for periods of time.

This is a terrible product with an even more terrible service, or actually lack of it, from Sony: I bought the tablet an everything was fine until one day when suddenly the tablet would not connect to any wifi. I have taken to the sony service department twice, to be told, after erasing all my contents without previous warning, that they dont know what the problem is.
