Sony’s gorgeous WX-4500X features a stunning multi-color dot matrix display and silver finish to really set-off any factory dashboard. Active Servo control monitors CD tracking actively makes adjustments for optimal performance. Sony's proprietary SSIR-EX tuner technology actually adjust the tuner's bandwidth depending on current environmental conditions. The result? Improved radio sound quality and diminished station interference. The WX-4500X also features CD Text which reads encoded information on CD’s such as artist and track information (CDs must be CD Text compatible). If you’re concerned about great sound, you’ll love Sony’s Dynamic Soundstage Organizer (DSO). It’s a proprietary circuitry that induces subtle phase shift in the preamp output, different in each output channel, to simulate a sound source that is higher in origin. Additionally, the frequency response in a section of the sound is altered, to further enhance the perception that the sound is originating from a physically higher source. These two factors, combine to seemingly raise the sound stage, and spread it wider across the dash, even if the speakers are mounted low in the doors.
