Book Description

March 4, 2003
OPEN THE TELEPATHIC CHANNEL TO YOUR PET-with advice from Animal Planet's resident pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick.

If you could talk to the animals, what would they say? Here, in the pages of this remarkable book, renowned pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick reveals the secrets of the animal world-and teaches you how to learn the telepathic language that animals understand.

Dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, and wild animals of every stripe-and spot-all have a story to tell. Pets have unique ways of communicating, often ignored or misunderstood by their human companions-leading to behavioral problems. By relating her own discovery of her telepathic and healing gifts and by sharing the true stories of her "clients," Sonya helps owners get into their pets' minds and uncover the root issues of the most common problems: scratching, chewing, soiling, barking, and more. She also offers messages of hope and healing as she talks to pets from beyond the grave.

You'll read the stories of Sparky, a dog whose deliberate accidents pointed to an intense dislike of his owner's new boyfriend...Zuki and Spika, two iguanas Sonya helped to live together in peace...Brass, the horse whose abusive past threatened to destroy his relationship with his new owner...and Magic the cat, whose heart problems were healed by Sonya's techniques-plus incredible true tales of pets lost and found using Sonya's telepathy.

Along with practical information on care and feeding, emergency preparedness, illness, moving, and introducing new pets to the household, Sonya shares her seven simple steps to communicating with your pet. You'll gain a deeper understanding, improve your relationship, and even stop behavioral problems before they start. So tune into your own telepathic channel and learn how to talk to the animals-with the Animal Planet's Sonya Fitzpatrick.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing book by an amazing lady, April 24, 2003
This review is from: Sonya Fitzpatrick, the Pet Psychic: What the Animals Tell Me (Hardcover)
After reading prior negative feedback on this book, I was compelled to write this review. Are Sonja's powers real? Judge for yourself. I went to her seminar in Long Beach, California, concerned because my 9yr old red-tail boa had not eaten in almost 10 months. She was losing weight and two vets had no idea or solution to the problem, but both were approaching concern about malnutrition. I was lucky enough to be one of the people invited on the stage at Sonja's seminar to ask my question. Sonja's tuned in and after a moment simply said "Have you been doing major renovations in your house where you have moved her from her usual room to another room - because she said she doesn't like that at all? And have you changed the color of the floor - she said it used to be blue and really wants to have that back if possible?". Indeed, 10 months prior, we completely renovated our kitchen and moved our boa and her enclosure into the living room. The original tile in the kitchen was blue/grey and is now cream. Even though the kitchen was finished, we never thought to move her enclosure back into the kitchen. I asked Sonja "if we move her back immediately, will she start eating again". The answer was a simple "yes".

That night we arrived home, moved the enclosure back into the kitchen and fed our boa her usual jumbo rat. After refusing to eat every two weeks for 10 months, she ate it immediately.

For you skeptics out there, that's a tough one to explain away... Regardless, our problem was solved - a problem two vets were unable to solve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating read- but not for everyone, April 5, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Sonya Fitzpatrick, the Pet Psychic: What the Animals Tell Me (Hardcover)
Sonja Fitzpatrick's book is likely to be a fascinating read for people who: 1.) Are animal lovers. 2.) Enjoy wathching "The Pet Psychic" show on Animal Planet. 3.) Are at least somewhat open to the legitimacy of interspeces communication. If reading about paranormal phenomena causes you to become insulted, disturbed, offended, or hypertensive, this book is not for you.

I found this to be a book of interesting contrasts. There are mind-boggling tales of psychic surgery being done with the aid of colored laser lights and angel guides. There is also a lot of practical, no-nonsense, down-to-earth advice about being a responsible pet parent. If such advice were only followed, much animal and human suffering could be avoided.

This review is from: Sonya Fitzpatrick, the Pet Psychic: What the Animals Tell Me (Hardcover)
While some people enjoy trying to discredit Sonya Fitzpatrick's TV show and books, I can easily say I know she is for real and really enjoyed this book! I am purchasing it for the second time as a gift to a fellow pet lover and have no doubts about whether the recipient will enjoy and appreciate the book. Sonya's weekly show on The Animal Planet is testimony to the reality of her gift and reading this book is like talking to her directly about some of her most interesting cases. I just wish she could meet and speak with my cats! Don't listen to the naysayers, you will definitely enjoy this book!
