Its either Sunday morning music after that great big Saturday night bender or music for a chilled out evening ahead with only regret,despair and a good Spanish red for company.Beautiful,moody,contemplative but suitable under only certain specific but memorable circumstances.

i first heard these guys when i was on vacation in ireland. i saw the video for "burn" on late night irish tv, and was overwhelmed by the slow mellowness of the music. my first reaction was to facetiously yell at the screen, 'a la beavis and butthead, "C'MON YOU GUYS! ROCK! ROCK!" ... two months later, i couldn't get the song out of my head.

the music is slow, with pensive, melancholy lyrics, but there's enough going on to keep you from being arab strapped into boredom - floaty strings are layered over jangling chords, and the singer's voice, while unremarkable, is comforting. for me, it's one of those albums where it takes a few listens to get my ear around it, but it gets better with every listen.
