Product Description

More than 2 million Soothie Pacifiers are given out to newborns in half of the nation's hospitals each year! Moms have been trying to solve for the need to have an attacher themselves, by putting string through the ventilation holes. This is a problem for 2 reasons: first, because it blocks the ventilation area, and second, it presses up against baby's face. Finally, an attacher designed specifically with Soothies! Blue Penguin with Igloo Clip Version

This renders the clip useless.
Dingogirl
It is too large and too bulky that almost covered all the baby's face.
Derek Foster
Although the clip works, it doesn't work well.

This item is not only cute but a great idea for holding on to what would otherwise be a tricky little pacifier. A note to the woman who complained that the Soothie Pacifier Attacher doesn't work with non-Soothie pacifiers: this item is designed specifically for Soothie products and makes no claim that you can use it with any other brand of pacifier. Your rating is based on the fact that you didn't pay attention to the item description and it should be ignored.

Soothies are the only pacifiers my son will take and I got tired of chasing them hither and yon so I thought the holder would be a good solution. This binkey holder is a great idea and it's really cute, but the slot does not create enough friction. My little guy is five months old and he can get the binkey out of the holder fairly easily. I suspect that the problem is that he likes to play with the cute little penguin and twists it all over the place. Additionally, the clip doesn't always hold very well. If he doesn't detach the binkey and drop it on the floor or in the nether regions of the car he can pull the clip off his shirt and drop the whole thing.

The only useful thing this pacifier clip does it make it harder to lose the pacifier. It neither ataches well to the pacifier or to any item of clothing or blanket etc...
The plastic end meant to attach to the tab of a soothie pacifier is so stiff and bulky it gets in the way when the baby is trying to suck and sometimes it makes it much more likely to fall out. This is not a secure way to hold onto the pacifier either and it usually falls out in a very little amount of time.
The clip on the other end is laughably small and weak. If your baby is more than a month old he or she will be pulling this clip off of anything, if it doesn't fall off on its own.
I would recommend the Alexabella pacifier clip instead - even though it seems to be bizarrly expensive. It doesn't break like the Walmart clips and it is the most secure attaching paci-clip I've found.

Excellent product. I was heartbroken when I lost it at the store the other day, and my 10-month-old has been looking for it every since, and calls it his "boo-boo." I love the handy clip, and the fact these items are BPA free.
I second another poster--this is a SOOTHIE/FIRST YEARS PRODUCT. I would imagine Avent pacifiers and clips don't work with Soothie/First Years pacifiers. Negative reviews due to user error and improper research before buying aren't the fault of this product.

I have bought 2 of these for my baby that will only take soothie pacifiers. Neither of them would clip onto his clothes and hold. Plus the part that attaches to the pacifier itself is HUGE and could touch his chest when the pacifier was in his mouth. This pacifier clip is cute, but that is the only good thing about it. I ended up just having to buy clips that I can slip through one of the vent holes. My advice is not to buy the soothie clips and just shop around for anything else that will work. I use the BinkiGrip brand.

The soothie pacifier clip makes the pacifier too heavy and large so, it either falls out of my son's mouth or he hits it out with his hand. The clip easily comes off, also. I got a Mam pacifier clip and that works much better. You just take the plastic end off the Mam clip and put the end of the ribbon through a hole in the soothie pacifier and the ribbon Velcros to itself.

Looks really cute but useless. I used it once, it's too heavy and my baby cant keep the pacifier in her mouth if it's attached to this clip. So, it's just a waste of money for buying this, and we never used it again.

Bulky bulky bulky. Other reviewers said it as well. This holds the soothie, but so will any other paci clip with a string loop at the end, like the booginhead one (nothing special there). The clip is unnecessarily bulky, as is the part that attaches to the binky. Not a favorite. We prefer the wubbanub pacifier. It doesn't attach to anything but it's definitely the best!
