Exposing Christianity,
By Sinagogue of Satan "666" (Mountain View, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sophia Bestiae: The Wisdom of the Beast (Paperback)
Well, one good thing about all the exposure this book and the Da Vinci Code has received is that it is exposing people to old ideas they may not have even heard of before. Granted, there are a bit of liberties taken in the writing of this book, but there is still quite a lot of good information to be found. It at least introducing things that people can explore on their own. This book is filled with truth which was sadly downplayed or corrupted by the Catholic church and much of Christianity as a whole, it is worth re-exploring. Reality is subjective... -Sinagogue of Satan

A Noble Effort; or, Worth Reading, Not Worth Buying,
By Of a Thousand Doves (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sophia Bestiae: The Wisdom of the Beast (Paperback)
Good things about this book:- Lots of passages provided from the KJV Bible backing up author's points, including passages/books generally bypassed or ignored by evangelical Christians promoting their "world view." Not so good things about this book: - Not much in the way of original insight. Each chapter basically includes a small blurb (a couple of paragraphs at the most) followed by a laundry list of Biblical passages with no extrapolation or discussion given. - Not much in the way of academic material. Reading it, I didn't get the sense that the author had a particularly profound understanding of the Bible in general. Quote this book and you are likely to be shredded by an apologeticist who knows what their talking about. My observation is that O'Toole appears to be more of a conspiracy theorist than a scholar. - Preachy, rant-like tone. The last two chapters read like a badly rehashed version of LaVey's works. - Poor editing. Fancy "evil" looking fonts and cheap graphics give this book an almost immature, "evil lite" air. My recommendations: - Find an English translation of the Nag Hammadi's creation story and read that instead of this book's first section. - Cross-reference every Biblical passage from this book BEFORE you use it in an argument to make sure you have the context down correct. (Search King James Bible online and you'll come across a site that lets you type in the book, chapter and line and pull the quote.)

By Hiram Augustus (Bisbee, AZ USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sophia Bestiae: The Wisdom of the Beast (Paperback)
This is one of the most eye-opening and thought provoking books that I have ever read. Regardless of your background or feelings on the subject of "God", this book will shed new light on his true work among the human race.Highly recommended for any "thinking" person.

A must for all.,
This review is from: Sophia Bestiae: The Wisdom of the Beast (Paperback)
I think this book is a must read for anybody and everybody interested in religion or not, it shows you the bad sides of God that no one else seems to see, even know its right in front of there eyes. Yes this is all truth about god taken strait from the unholy bible its self so if you would like to learn the truth about god or you just want a little information to throw back in the faces of the bible thumpers that come knocking on your door then this is the book for you. EVERBODY BUY THIS BOOK. It's a real eye opener.

A Review,

All of us have those tricky questions about life, religion, and the world around us. There are, of course, those who will blindly follow the answers provided by others, and some who decide to make their own answers.
Two billion Christians on the planet. Only a handful actually believe what they claim they do. For those in the world, Christian or not, who want more than a vague 'Sunday Skool' answer to their questions, this book screams to be read with an eager and ready mind.

Bestian Gnosticism,

This review is from: Sophia Bestiae: The Wisdom of the Beast (Paperback)
Sophia Bestiae is advisable for those who already have doubts about who God is and do not find him as perfect as he is said to be. It provides you with answers for daring questions concerning God's origin, behavior, abilities, taste and appearance. The author uses quotations from The Bible as source so there is no place for arguments such as his subjectivity.
This book also encourages you to rely on your Self that is divine unlikely to our "Creator". It reveals the true position of man and reminds you of what we are able. We have been being put down for long enough. It's time to unleash The Beast.

This book is a fantastic refutation of the christian bible, using several examples to make the case that Yahweh is in fact a lying, spaced-out, underpowered loser. The author makes a very strong case, even providing an enlightening story about their god as his peers see him- a deranged killer. Unfortunately, it is unlikely this fascinating book will show any of those fanatical freaks the error of their ways, but it's nice to see work like this made public. Recommended.

Who is GOD...great Story...,

This review is from: Sophia Bestiae: The Wisdom of the Beast (Paperback)
The first part,is the most amazing of all the book, it is the story
"Who is God, and from where does he come...", is the first time that i know about this story, discovered at Nag Hammadi Egypt in 1945,the catholic-christians church never have told something about this story...why? because is against her own interests. I recomend this book, u need to be an open mind person....a person who loves to break paradigms, a person who loves the truth-a true searcher, maybe a gnostic can read an love this book, but a fanatic-sheep catholic-christian NO WAY...he/she will get scare or mad!!!. Excellent book, Edward Otoole and Excellent author!!!

The only thing interesting in this book is the bible passages used to support the authors ideas. I have been exploring the Christian/Satan truth for many years and the stuff in this book is just hokey. It reminds me of teenagers who decide to feel evil by turning their mom's crucifix upside down, ooow you are bad. Anyway, the author has developed an idea about God being the bad one and Satan being the guy to get all the blame. This is a good idea but as you progress through the book you start feeling like you are back in high school drawing upside down crosses on your notebook. The main symbol of his new satanism is an inverted trinity symbol, it would probably work if the trinity really existed. This new bestiae satanism is just high school satanic hokeyness, stick with the Satanic Bible by Lavey you would fair better.

One verse at a time. Sophia Bestiae gives a complete & straight foward approach to understanding the lies & contradictions people have held so dear for over 2000 years.
Great read for those who want to truely understand the Christian religion & not merely accept it based on popular opinion. |
