5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant photobio of La Loren from the authors of "Italian Movie Goddesses", August 10, 2007
By
This review is from: Sophia (Hardcover)
So far, Stefano Masi and Enrico Lancia are hitting 2 for 2 in the books I have written by them. They previously produced the superb _Italian Movie Goddesses_, an indispensable volume for anyone who likes Italian movies and Italian actresses, and now comes this beautifully produced book about the woman that many people believe to be the greatest living sex symbol; Sophia Loren. The cover photo, as the other reviewer noted, is stunning, but that's far from being the only outstanding picture in this book, which is crammed with high-quality color and B&W imagery of Sophia from all phases of her life and career up to 2001. The text, an excellent English translation from the original Italian, is just as good, recounting Loren's life story. I own several other books on La Loren, but if you could only have one, this would be the one to get, without a doubt. I'd give it 5+ stars if I could.
