This book was a total button pusher! (read on my Kindle :)) It was very entertaining, and I was eagerly awaiting the next page throughout the whole book. I can hardly wait for Chelsea's next book, about anything! I'll be excited to read it.

From the beginning this book grabs your attention and continues to unravel layers throughout. To me this book isn't a 'feel good' book about relationships, but instead a thoughtful journey through the lives of two people with complicated pasts trying to understand themselves and simplicity in what really matters. Because the book is written as the characters thought and dialogue, it gives the content a sense of 'reality' and makes connecting with the characters unavoidable. Well written and easy to read. You will find yourself sitting down and not getting up until you're done.

Chelsea Fine skillfully shines the light on an all too true aspect of teenage life. Sophie and Carter are characters that many teenagers will relate to. I read Sophie and Carter in one day. I loved the creative way Chelsea moved between to two main characters in effect telling us two sides of the main story. I would definitely re-read this book and recommend it to any young adult to read. Can't wait for the next one to come out!

I had a mixed reaction to this story. I agree with many of the positive reviews in that this is a complex love story that does a great job of pulling you into the thoughts and feelings of the two main characters (Sophie & Carter). The character development was great, and it's clear that these characters had to deal with some very adult responsibilities at a young age but they've handled it these challenges in a mature way given their circumstances. However, while I applaud the author for remaining consistent with the world that she's created with these characters, it was just hard to read characters living under these circumstances and I really wanted more for these characters given what they've gone through. I guess I was looking for something that was more escapist with some depth vs. harsh reality with some sweetness. Small nit, there was also a point when the phrase, "I love his/her guts" felt overused and it was a bit distracting. It's a good read, but there were just some sections that I felt that had to get through vs. just read for enjoyment.

Coming from someone with a short attention span and a bad habit of never finishing books, I can honestly say I could not put this one down! Each chapter was written with just enough details to leave me with enough curiosity to tell myself "just one chapter more." Before I knew it I had read the entire book. It only left me wanting more.

Chelsea Fine's witty remark's and understanding of the young adult mindset and lingo allowed me to fully immerse myself in Sophie and Carter's world and kept me rooting for them throughout the book. An enjoyable, honest, and underdog story about love and the tragedies that bind them. If you have ever wanted to preview books for your young adult reader but have been too intimidated by taking on the task, this the THE right book for you.

I look forward to more books written by Ms. Fine!

I am in LOVE with this book! Chelsea Fine created a page-turner about friendship and falling in love. True Love. Sophie & Carter left me wanting more! I can't wait to see what is next from Chelsea Fine.
