I love this sugar bowl. Nice crisp white without being stark, classic design, and a spot in the lid for the spoon. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that now we have to search for the perfect spoon to fit in it. I'm surprised portmeirion did not include one. One other thing to note, is that it did not look as rustic as it does one the website. For me, that was a good thing. It's really perfect, and is packaged in a nice box that makes it great for gift giving. I gave it with the matching creamer (Sophie Conran by Portmeirion 10-Ounce Creamer, White) to my sister for Christmas and she couldn't be happier.

Our old sugar bowl was well-loved, but it was cracked and unsightly. So I went looking for a new one, and was surprised that a good sugar bowl is hard to find. Then I searched on Amazon and discovered Sophie Conran. The photos were helpful, but I didn't know if I would really like the sugar bowl when it arrived. So I was delighted to open the box and find this simply beautiful sugar bowl. It's attractive, it's functional and I was pleased with the price.

Very nice looking porcelaine bowl, but really very small. It would hold just a little sugar and you be filling-up this bowl every day!
If you're using sugar on a daily basis in coffee and tea, I would not recommend it!
