Book Description

1992
In my opinion one of the most beautiful Italian decks ever designed. This limited numbered edition (of 2000) 78-card tarot, exquisitely printed by Il Meneghello, replicates a deck originally engraved by Carlo Dellarocca and published by Gumppenberg in 1835. Their original was so unique and superbly engraved that it was soon copied and reprinted (with various alterations) by other card makers. Because of its exceptional detail, the deck acquired the name Soprafino, which is Italian for 'very fine' or 'refined'. These cards, being unlaminated, have a truly antique feel to them. These sets were packaged with the cards being set inside a thick handmade paper-wrapped box. An additional card (Il Mondo) is pasted onto the package to display a sample of the contents. The cards were printed with faux stains on them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soprafino Tarot, November 28, 2011
This review is from: Soprafino Tarot (Hardcover)
This deck is limited to 2,000, I was lucky enough to obtain one from a private party. The deck is beautiful! Cards are not varished, and pip cards are not pictured, only symbols, but are numbered. Card stock is thin, and will bend easily. So be careful of this if you will use them for readings. A wonderful deck to add to anyone's collection, if you can find it!
