Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Sorbee Crystal Light Sugar-Free Chewy Candy is a tasty sugarless alternative to Starburst but it may cause diarrhea when eaten in large portions.

The Strawberry and Raspberry flavors were excellent. The lemon and Orange were just okay. Those 2 tasted better when combined.

Taste wise, I'd recommend them. However, even though there's a warning saying excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect. But for me, it didn't take excessive consumption to cause it.

The serving size is 8 pieces. That's how many I ate when I got it. 2 hours later - laxative effect.

So Today, after my stomach calmed down. I ate 2 pieces and still got the laxative effect.

It might be just my stomach but any candy where 2 small pieces causes discomfort, I can not recommend.

Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Starbursts, while delicious, are one of the least healthy candies for their size. These cut down the calories dramatically, at 100 calories per 8-piece serving, which is very good news. On the other hand, they don't have quite the same texture-- they're more like a taffy and the wrapper easily becomes stuck to the candy, so you have to pick off bits of it with your nails.

My main complaint, though, as their aftertaste. At first the candy was sweet and pretty tasty, but as soon as the initial flavor wore off, my mouth was left feeling bitter and unpleasant. Secondly, after I ate about 6 of them (a little less than a serving) I noticed that they didn't entirely sit well with my stomach. Nothing horrible, but a little bit of a stomachache. It might be worth it to me if I was absolutely prohibited from sugar, but as it is, I'll take a 2-piece serving of Starbursts over 8 of these any day.

Sweet Chew Candy! March 29, 2011
Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Sugar Free Crystal Light Sorbee Chew Candy is a flavorful, Gluten-free treat. With 1/3 fewer calories than regular chew candy, it comes in four yummy flavors...strawberry, lemon, orange, and raspberry. Similar to Starbursts, it is a sticky candy that melts in your mouth. Each serving size (approximately 8 pieces) is equivalent to 100 calories. Clearly labeled that it may contain soy, milk, peanuts, and tree nuts, those with allergies need to be careful. The list of artificial ingredients is a cause for concern. Also, the package indicates that excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect. After sampling the recommended serving size on a few occasions, my stomach felt queasy. Due to the amount of unnatural additives plus the unpleasant side effects I experienced from eating this candy, I do not recommend this product.

wouldn't buy this
I really didn't like it and wouldn't buy it. If I am going to have candy I eat a small amount of the real thing. Even my doc agrees with that approach.

better for diabetics than for dieters
The Sorbee chews have 100 calories per 8 pieces (40g) - compared to Starburst candies, which have 130 calories per 9 pieces (40g). This candy is not a low calorie food. Read more

Good but risky!
Very good and every bit as great as starburst fruit chews! However, that being said, there is one slight but noticeable difference between starburst and chrystal light. Read more
