4.0 out of 5 stars Very good if they fit your foot
These seem to be very good insoles and I suspect they do absorb a lot of the impact. Just be aware that the orange ridged portion is hard plastic. The rest is a firm foam with soft inserts. My foot is neutral and this model I can't use in my running shoes because they put pressure on the inside-front of my heel and cause some discomfort. But, that's my foot so your...

Last summer my husband and I both bought a couple of pairs of the Sorbothane 3/4 inserts,and were very pleased with its results. It gave comfort and arch support where needed and were able to perform satisfactory in races. These however were very uncomfortable and right where the black pad ends ,it cause irritation and disconfort. When possible I will buy the 3/4 arch...

Last summer my husband and I both bought a couple of pairs of the Sorbothane 3/4 inserts,and were very pleased with its results. My foot is neutral and this model I can't use in my running shoes because they put pressure on the inside-front of my heel and cause some discomfort. But, that's my foot so your mileage my vary. I'll put these in my boots for the stability aspect and try them. I'll have to choose a foam only model for running.
