Sweet, sexy fun!,
This review is from: Sorcerer Hunters, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
OHOHOHOHOHO! Sorcerer Hunters is one of the most underlooked titles in the world of anime and manga. Perhaps it's the edgy, borderline-hentai humor that keeps it from being a major "pop hit" -- but it's also that same humor that attracts so many fans. The central character, Carrot Glace, may not be the prettiest boy in anime, but his unforgettable personality makes him the ideal protagonist for any story. What's not to like (or hate) about a hapless pervert who has just one special skill? Carrot's supporting cast is equally memorable. There's Tira, whose normally demure appearance belies her S&M fetish; Marron, Carrot's smooth-talking mystic brother; Chocolat, the only girl on the entire Spooner Continent who actually wants Carrot -- even though Carrot hates her! -- and Gateau, the exhibitionist guy who seems to be looking for love in ALL the places, wrong or right. Although they may seem like a crackpot bunch, these folks are the only ones capable of standing up to the evil sorcerers! And they win every time, of course ... Plot-wise, Sorcerer Hunters isn't anything terribly unique. It's the usual beat-the-bad-guy story, but with a humorous twist often so lacking in other fantasy tales. The artwork and storytelling seems a little confused at times, but if you can get through the fight scenes, the aftermath between Carrot and Tira in each chapter is usually a great finishing laugh. All in all, a highly entertaining book.

Funniest Manga that I ever read!,
This review is from: Sorcerer Hunters, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
I just read this manga and it is hilarious! I was cracking up throughout the whole thing! Some of the parts may be a little inapropriate for kidss under he age of 10, but the rest of it is great! The story is about three people who are sent from the "Big Mama" (their master, I guess)to go hunt sourcerers. There is Carrot, he is a little weird but REALLY funny. He can absorb magic and then he turns into a really powerfull monster. Then there is Marron, the handsome one who is Carrot's little brother. He gets obsessed when anyone huts his little brother and then he has to hurt the person who hurt his brother. Tira is the one who wears big glasses and a cape. when she has to hur a bad guy, then she throws off her cape and glasses, revealing a weird bathing suit outfit and a whip. then she defeats the soucerer and his/her monster. Through this entire book, the threesome go through really funny adventures and keep ypu laughing the whole time!

YOU MUST BY THIS MANGA!!,
By Deirdre (Texas, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sorcerer Hunters, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
I love this manga! One of my best friends got me it for christmas. I thank her almost everyday. This is a really great fantasy manga that will appeal to lots of people. Of course, keep it out of the hands of children! It can be quite adult at times. My favorite character would for sure be Marron Glace. He is a mysterious man who uses the powers of Eastern magic. He is very hot as well ^_^( hes the guy on the cover with the long black hair!). The plot isnt the most creative thing in the word, but the manga is just SO FUNNY! the crazy characters and humor in this manga will most definitely make up for a slightly weak plot. Also, the art in this manga is really great. Lots of chibi moments which are really funny, and its just all around pretty ^_^. Anyways, I have to go, and you have to buy this manga! And i love Amazon cause everything is cheaper! So buy it off Amazon! (im sure the creators are just loving me now ^_^). I gotta go, so Sayonara!
