I'm one of those freaks that enjoys obscure horror movies and tripped over "The Sore Losers" in a DVD 12 pack that contained 8 nasty vampire movies and three zombie movies that were obviously funded by a rich uncle and directed by a 18 year old. The Sore Losers was the rare gem in this pile of crap. It references obscure 1950's fanboys, supernatural asian assassins, hippie executions, comic culture, dominatrix, mass murderers, immortals, wrapped in classic cars and empty decayed settings from Southern Middle America. It had such a good soundtrack that I became obsessed with the production and hunted down this copy.

Well worth a listen / viewing. Odd and disturbing. Don't say I didn't warn you.

This soundtrack for the sci-fi exploitation film is a bit different from his other soundtrack to "Shine on Sweet Starlet" since this is a narrative and that's a compilation film. Likewise, this soundtrack contains excerpts from the film which introduce each central character and their backstory in the film. Aside from this, it's a terrific compilation of garage rock that includes tracks by two different members of the Oblivians, Mick Collins, 68' Comeback and Guitar Wolf, and that's not to say the other tracks don't rock and let the fun roll out as well. Just pop it in and enjoy.

This soundtrack for a slow moving send-up of camp/ cult flicks features one of the best soundtracks for any movie outside of Tarantino.

The Sore Losers Soundtrack is an amazing Retro mix with several Estrus label performers and studio artists. The 30 track list contains raging garbage rock, lounge-against-the-machine jams, and hip-grinding anthems.

The Sore Losers Soundtrack is far better than the trashy adventure into T+A the actual movie was. Two hours of Rust/Dust Belt counterculture, Guitar Wolf cameos (see Shatter Dead for more Guitar Wolf), EC comics, pin-up babies, and hokey UFO abductions was 1 hr and 58 minutes too damn long.
