After N.O.R.E. first hit the scene with his hardcore classic The War Report, he quickly became a superstar, churning out hits. This past year, N.O.R.E. has gotten back on his game with the release of "Rotate" featuring Busta Rhymes, then following that up with the club smash "Move" featuring Jim Jones & Nina Sky. S.O.R.E. is a nod to N.O.R.E.'s fan favorite debut. It features appearances from T-Pain, Raekwon, Bun B & Sean Kingston and blends street classics with club ready anthems, in true N.O.R.E. fashion.

It's been 2 years since Nore dropped his last solo and 6 months since the C-N-N album dropped, and Nore's 6th solo get released on the same day as Capone's 3rd album, odd timing but, this was put out without his approval (and most of the songs are from 2007). This one has 14 songs and starts rather slow and picks up after about the 5th song. Of the 14, 1 is a classic, 1 is near classic 8 are good, a few being real good and 4 are ok. Guests are on 5 songs, 4 verses of rapping and a few hooks are done by the guest appearances. No production credits are given though I know Scram Jones, Hazardous Sounds, Play-N-Skillz and Tuneheadz did do some work on here. Some songs have good beats, other have horrendous ones, like alot of his last few albums, some tight songs and some that should never have been made. His first 2 albums were great 4.5 star ones, his last 4 are all low 4 star material and it be nice to see him go back to his late 90's style.

Noreaga has somehow released the worst album of the year, or at least the worst one that I have heard. The album is flat out terrible. It's not like I was expecting much anyway since Noreaga fell off about 8 years ago but I'm a fan of giving people chances to redeem themselves. But truth be told anything that Noreaga does nowadays is a pure waste of time (kinda like this review). It's a shame too since he used to be interesting on the mic.

This album contains bad beats, bad hooks, bad songs and the worst rapping I've heard in recent years. Set Trip ft. Bun B and By Myself are the only two decent songs. Raekwon wastes a verse on the album, T-Pain doesn't save his track, Noreaga is making Jim Jones sound like Rakim on Move, and Sean Kingston continues to prove that he has no talent (his album Tomorrow is just as bad as this if not more so).

You would think naming the S.O.R.E. (I know what it stands for but what does it sound like??? It rhymes with Ferrari and starts with an S) would be the biggest warning sign known to man but I still checked it out anyway. Why? Zero stars.
