5.0 out of 5 stars Well-made Snow Boots
These are very well-made. The sole is rigid enough to use with crampons and the gaiters are a real benefit. The tread is very aggressive, so you'll have plenty of traction short of walking on ice. 2.0 out of 5 stars Bad stitching.
After a month of moderate use the stitching that joins the nylon upper to the rubber lower started letting. They were extremely warm and comfortable, but they didn't last. Too bad.

These are very well-made. The sole is rigid enough to use with crampons and the gaiters are a real benefit. The tread is very aggressive, so you'll have plenty of traction short of walking on ice. Walking in 30 inches of snow, there was no moisture penetration. My feet stayed high and dry. These compare favorably to the ones provided to me by the Air Force for Arctic conditions and those were of decent quality. The included insulating foot-boots are very thick, yet they don't make your feet sweat, which can just make you miserable. If you're looking for a boot that will serve you well in outdoor conditions for long periods, this would be an excellent choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hubby loves 'em!, December 7, 2010

I became a fan of Sorel boots last year. I was thrilled with them because my feet never got cold and water never got in. So when my husband wanted boots for trudging around downtown Chicago, a super-messy commute, these are what we got. The guys at work are already asking where they can get theirs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Alpha Pac Winter Boot, December 30, 2010
I had previous make of sorel boot, which was light, but still manage to get water in and the tie button hurt my shin when riding my snowmobile. The arctic sorel was too heavy and bulky. I was amaze how light this boot is but yet rated for -60 degrees. I would highly recommend this boot!

5.0 out of 5 stars winter time, January 27, 2011

Im a Mail Carrier in Ohio. I have tried all kinds of boots to walk in. Some are too big, so its hard to walk miles in the snow without wearing yourself out. Some are too small, so you will get cold and wet feet. These boots are the best. I can wear a regular pair of sox and not get cold. Light enough so I can walk 8 miles a day. IF YOU WALK IN SNOW ALL DAY, LOOK NO FURTHER.

The boots were exactly what I needed, comfortable and warm. The size was correct and the price was reasonable for the quality. I am perfectly satisfied.

Great pair of snow boots. My husband has always purchased cheap snow boots that fall apart within weeks to 1 season. While we are not through the first season, these look like they will last a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Warm, Not Dry., January 16, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These boots certainly keep your feet warm in dry conditions. Unfortunately, as I found out the hard way, the upper nylon part is definitely NOT waterproof. I work outdoors and stepping in puddles of slush is not recommended unless you like your feet swimming in ice water. I now use these at home while shoveling snow. I found the Kamik Workday 2 boots to be less expensive and better suited for wet snow/slush/rain, so I now use these at work.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Boot, January 11, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ordered these for my husband. He's a size 9 in shoes so thats what I ordered and the fit was perfect. I found the boots to be a little heavy and I was looking for a lighter boot so I was disappointed with the weight of them. It's been a very mild winter here in NJ so far this year so can't speak of durability or warmth. However, they do seem very well made so I'm not too worried. Again, I had ordered these because some of the reviews said they were not heavy but I disagree and think they have a lot of weight to them. Should have bought a pair of North Face because they are very light, durable, and easy to wear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent boot, June 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've had my old Sorels for more than 10 years. They've held up great. I decided to get a taller boot like this for snowmobiling. I should have bought them years ago. They are much lighter in overall weight but also much warmer than my prior boots. Highly recommended.
