You now you are always very leary about buying footware online because you're not able to try them on, you can only go by others reviews if there are any. Also I tend to have cold feet & I'm now back in snow country after 40 years & I was worried if they would keep my feet from freezing. Well they fit perfect. I wear them with a thin over the calf sock & with the 40 below liner have never had an issue with cold feet. Can we say awesome. I highly recommend these to anyone that has to be in the snow for most of the day. FYI, if you're feet perspire like mine don't forget to pull the liners out & dry them. I bought these from Amazon for last winters snow, they shipped very quickly. I just pulled them out of storage in preparation for the next winter, and that prompted me to write a review. These are a VERY warm boots, the warmest I've ever owned. Had I expected this I would have not sized them up a half-size to accommodate for thicker socks, you truly don't need a heavy sock with these. Cons: This boot is a bit heavy and a bit wide. This is a great snow, ice and slush boot, but I would not use them for anything else. Pros: These are very comfortable boots, they fit snugly at the ankle and heel and offer good support for a boot of this style. As mentioned earlier this boot is wide, but mainly in the toebox. To me this is a Pro as I do not like the feeling of having my toes squished in, but it's certainly worth mentioning as not everybody feels the same way about a wide toebox. If you want a boot that will keep your feet toasty warm in the coldest conditions then this is it. For hustling into town on snowy icy days, unloading trucks, chopping wood, and general 'stand up' type work outside these would be ideal, but they're too heavy for anything you would consider a hike or a long walk.

These boots were delivered amazingly fast to my house. They were the right ones in the right size. The size is true and the boots seem sturdy very warm.

First off, the shipper of these boots delivered them very quickly. These Sorel boots have been a blessing for keeping the feet warm and dry. These are a better quality boots than the similiar Caribou of a lesser price where the reviews indicated that the other style are good for low active levels. These have better leather, soles, and felt liners for active use. Winter building and snow work is much warmer on the little piggys.

I worked at a warehouse after retiring from my full time job. These Boots worked Excellent in an Indoor Freezer that ran from from 10 to -40 below zero. My complaint was that I had to buy an Extra set of Inserts and bring several pairs of socks, as my feet would start to sweat inside of them... Not a big problem. I don't work there anymore and for standard outdoor use and around the house, they are very good. I do use a warm air boot drier to dry them out, but also have purchased 2 additional pair 1 Tusk (Black for uniform wear at work) and another tan for home use. ROB A

I once owned a pair of these 13 years ago when i lived as a fisherman in Alaska.. they were the envy of everyone i met and immediately gave off a presence of respect.. of course 13 years later these are now made Vietnam, i of course am a sucker to buy things that are made in Europe/Canada of the States, its important to support the industry in the west. There is a sense of pride in this as there was a pride in owning Sorels back then.. i wish companies like this would never do this, why oh why do we need to get so damn greedy and fat?? Sorel and other recently moved companies to the east please note. WE WILL PAY MORE MONEY IF THEY WERE STILL TO BE MADE IN THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. yet, i'll admit the quality still looks great, they definitely need to be worn in despite being comfy and the one most important factor is to get the right size.. most of us forget that we will walk in these and are not just for sitting on the chair lift

I ordered these boots to replace my old Sorels which are over 20 years old. They are very warm and sturdy made boots and have good worksmanship like my 20 year old Sorel boots. I ordered them one size bigger because I work outside all day in temps as low as 40 degrees below zero or colder and wear very heavy wool socks. I did have to cut the elastic on the front of the liner because they were a little too snug on my big ankles with heavy wool socks on. Now there's more than enough room for two pairs of socks if I need them. They also have good gripping soles. By the looks of it, these boots will outlive me. I highly recommend them.

These boots are large and warm but are less of a recreation snow boot than Columbia's. Very little give to them but the leather is excellent.

Great shoes that are very comfortable to wear(however, you have get used to walking in them first). All things considered they are the perfect winter boot you can possibly get(waterproof and minus 40 degree rated).

This is my twenith pair and these are the best yet. Sorels take abuse like nothing else. I can stand in knee deep snow and maintain complete warmth. In Colorado,where I live the snow is a six month a year situtation. These are easy to take on and off, and switch liners if needed.
