4.0 out of 5 stars Good boot that I'd buy again
These boots are just right for slipping on quick to walk my dog or pop out to the car to get something. Overall I would have to say I like this slip-on boot enough that I would buy another pair when these wear out. The insulation isn't as thick as I was expecting but still quite acceptable. Also, there are two little cushions that hug your achilles tendon, which I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good boots, but one serious problem
I needed a pair of easy on dog-walking and otherwise all-around country utility boots. These fit the bill perfectly. Good fit (as other reviewers have advised, they run small so add a half size). Warm. Very handy. But ...

Overall I would have to say I like this slip-on boot enough that I would buy another pair when these wear out. The insulation isn't as thick as I was expecting but still quite acceptable. Also, there are two little cushions that hug your achilles tendon, which I guess are supposed to help snug the boot up and keep it from slipping. These cushions felt kind of funky at first, but now I hardly notice them....except for right now, since I'm talkng about them. :-)

Outstanding product. Easy to slip on and off, but do not slip much at all when walking. Good tread. Well constructed. True to size. Coming from Maine, I thought LL Bean boots were the only good ones on the market. Wrong. These Sorel's are better. No question they deserve 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars great slip-ons for shoveling snow, March 6, 2009
These boots have good traction on ice, which matters greatly to me since I really need to avoid falling and having any more knee surgeries. Being slip-ons, they are perfect for quick outdoor errands/chores like snow shoveling, taking out the trash, or carrying in groceries etc. The uppers are warm, but are probably a little too light to hold up long in heavy duty use.

the little pull tab on the right boot broke soon after I started wearing them. Getting the boots on without the pull tabs is next to impossible. Though the boots seem very well made, the tabs are thin and cheap, considering the amount of stress that will be applied to them daily. I would return them, but I can't be without boots for even a day in this unusually snowy winter. So I carry pliers and wait for spring. Next time, I'll look for a different brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Boot!, March 28, 2008
Bought these for after skiing to wear around town... Easy on/off and kept my feet warm at 10 degrees outside. Great traction on the ice and snowpack too!

4.0 out of 5 stars order 1 1/2 to 2 sizes larger but great quality!, December 31, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These boots are of great quality. The only problem that I had with them is that they are made small. My dad generally wears a size 10 EEE and I ordered an 11. They were too small. If you order this boot, you should order at least 1 1/2 to 2 sizes larger. They fit my husband and he generally wears a size 9. He was happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Made for Winter Walking, April 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I read many previous reviews before purchasing these boots. I've had them now for nearly two months. Many of the other reviews are spot on in the size area as well as the warmth and water-tightness of the boots. I typically wear a 10.5 - 11 in most shoes, so I purchased the 11. They fit nearly perfectly in that they tend to be a little broader width wise, but that is nothing thick socks couldn't correct. I took these boots with us on our trip to Vail, CO. While we were there, I used the boots for snowmobile tripping and for walking throughout Vail Village and Lionshead. While in Vail, nearly a foot of snow fell, but wearing these boots helped me to stay warm and not notice the cold temps. They were comfortable and provided great traction everywhere we went. I would definitely recommend these to a friend. I'm hooking them up with four stars simply because I can't speak to the longevity of the construction of the boot. I read where someone's pair cracked pretty quickly. Only time will tell. However, they are an outstanding product at an awesome price!

2.0 out of 5 stars way too small!, February 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After reading the reviews, I ordered this boot 1 full size larger than my husband usually wears. It seemed like a great boot, but it was not only too small in the toe, but the heel lifted up in the back. I'm returning them. Unfortunately, its costing me about $11 to return the things because it wasn't Amazon's fault that they are too small. I would recommend ordering 1 1/2 sizes larger than you usually do and also order from a place that either has free returns or try them on in person.

5.0 out of 5 stars My husbands favorite boots!, July 25, 2008
My husband is really, really rough on everything he owns. These hold up to his winter antics! Shoveling snow, walking in the mud, you name it - these hold up and keep the wet out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good slip on boot, March 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
First let me say that this boot meets my needs. I wanted a convenient slip on boot for general around the house work. I didn't need hiking or below zero durability. Having said this these are just what I needed. They are easy on and off (sizing important) and comfortable. They keep my feet dry and warm. I like the Sorel brand so I chose these and glad I did.

Now a couple of things to be aware of IF you buy these. 1)Sizing, as others have mentioned you need to order larger than you normally wear. I ordered 1 size larger and usually wear thick socks and they fit well. 2)Temperature rating, also as others have mentioned, I don't think these are -25 degree boots. I live in Chicago and these are more like 10-20 range (in my opinion).
