I have a pair in black and a pair in brown. The zipper on the right boot (in brown) is resistant and requires some upper body strength to close but other than that, I love these boots. They are warm and comfortable. We have a lot of snow in central Iowa so I wear them frequently. Highly recommend!

Wore these boots in a blizzard, walking in sub-zero temps and snowshoeing and my feet were toasty warm and dry. They are also very comfortable for winter walking. They seem to run true to size but slightly wide.

This boot is comfortable, sturdy, and definely waterproof. I am very happy with my choice.

This is my fourth pair over the years and everyone in my family has a pair of Sorels. They are our go to boot always.

This being said - I was SO disapointed with this boot!

First of all it is ugly. It looks like an 1980's fake suede cowboy boot that's made out of slipper material.

Second of all - the other reviews ARE correct, I should have listened!
The zipper it terrible and gets stuck.
There is no where to grab on to them to pull them up.
The inside top of the zipper is NOT covered well and it is so "sharp" it rubs holes in my socks.

I only paid about $35 for these boots - so I am keeping them for an emergency.

Don't buy. But - I still LOVE Sorel Boots, just pick a different design...

The right one is smaller than the left one; not something I normally experience (so it's probably not my feet). Also the outside of the right heel noticeably rubs. I've put them on several times and each time immediately noticed that, having forgotten it in the interim; not a good sign for boots I'd like to walk in rather than just stand around in. Also they are difficult to get into, as the zipper doesn't go down all the way. They definitely could benefit from the addition of a pull loop, preferably at the top of the back.

On the positive side, they are well made, warm although the sole allows transmission of some cold, and very attractive. I got the black smooth leather a half-size larger than usual for use with heavy socks. Aside from the quality control problem I noted above, they do feel true to size. The last seems fine with adequate but not great arch support and plenty of room in the toe box. The luggy sole appears excellent for traction but I'll never know because they are being returned as defective.

The Bads:
-The zipper design is horrible. If I zip it up, the excess inner lining bunch up and rub against my calves to a point my skin got rub off and bleed (wearing skinny jean and tight still don't help with the rubbing).
-Don't look as neat and pretty when walking around with the zipper unzip.
-The bottom looks like it got good grip but it doesn't work well on concrete (may it'd work on mud or snow?). I almost slipped when walking on wet concrete.

The Goods:
-Since the shoes fit just fine without pulling the zipper up, I just leave the shoes unzip when I am wearing the shoes. Don't look as good but no scar :)
-Awesome sole support. I walked over 30 miles while wearing this pair of shoes in NYC and didn't feel the usual pain/bruise. LOVE IT.
-Warm and comfortable. This shoes is too warm for California but it's so comfortable that I can't help but to wear it almost every day.
-Awesome price! I bought it off Amazon when it was on sale for $40. After wearing this pair of shoes for months now, based on the quality (including "The Bads"), I would say I got a steal :)

In conclusion:
-If you don't mind not looking neat and want comfort, this is a great pair of shoes(in another word: if there is no zipper issue, I would give this pair of shoes 5 stars)

I love these boots. They are easy to put on and very warm. My only advice would be to order a size and a half larger than your normal shoe size to fit with winter socks.

I ordered these boots in a size 11 just in time for the first big winter storm in Las Leñas, Argentina. The foot bed fit perfectly for my foot, although the boots did need to stretch a bit in order to get them to zip up easily. The boot is also VERY warm and dry. Cute, too! I've have a bunch of fun in the snow wearing these boots. No chills! This pair keeps my feet warm!

These boots are exactly what I was looking for - warm, waterproof, reasonably stylish, and comfortable to walk/stand in all day. I've been really pleased with them so far and my only (mild) complaints are that they're a little taller than I was expecting, which means that if I'm not wearing high socks the tops of the boots rub my shins. Because they're fur lined this isn't uncomfortable so much as just a little annoying. Also they're almost too warm to wear around indoors if you have anything but thin cotton socks on, which in the winter isn't such a bad thing. That's really my only complaint though and it's a minor one at that. If you're looking for a good winter snow boot, I would definitely recommend these.

I picked these boots because they were the cheapest of the boots that I was looking at. Now I'm so glad I chose them. They are comfortable, warm, and waterproof. They are great in the snow and on the ice. The treads on the bottom are great for walking on ice.
