Sorel Tivoli boots
on January 14, 2013
I got this boots a couple of months ago for my season in Japan. Where I live now we get quite a lot of snow and pretty cold weather. I wear this boots every day for quite long periods and sometimes in deep snow. For the first month of use they were alright. Now after two months, these boots are nothing else but disappointment. They get wet all the time (even with snowboard pants on top of them) and my feet get really cold in them (even with Marino wool socks!)
Today I wore them in the city where the snow is to the minimum and after just two hours my feet where ice cold.
I don't think that boots on which says they are waterproof should make your feet wet and boots which supposed to keep your feet warm to up to -20 degrees should make your feet ice cold.
I'm quite disappointed from Sorel customer service both in the states and Japan. One for not responding to emails the second for telling me that I need to send the boots back to the states for a months just before they decide if the 1 year warranty on 3 months old boots is valid.
Anyway I wouldn't recommend this model for two reasons: they are not waterproof and definitely don't keep your feet warm below -5 degrees. Also fitting an inside sorel boot is not an option for this model.
My grading for this model is below expectation.
