Let's just start in order with the shipping. The local delivery was not performed by a UPS type company, and they had to coordinate delivery during normal busniess hours for the drop off. No leaving it at the door. Not a problem as I coordinated to be there first thing and have a job where this isn't a problem, but just be aware if you can't be home 8-5 ever.
The item was very compactly packaged considering what was inside. Roughly 4' x 3' and about 6-8" thick. The delivery guy and I had no issues moving it from the porch to inside the house together. I would estimate the package was in the 75-100lb range.
First item to note on the assembly is you can't be done in an hour. I typically am overly cautious when unwrapping and take a cloth to remove box dust and styrofoam scraps from each piece and very carefully lay out the items in an order which will make assembly as smooth as possible. This being said I probably spent four or five hours unboxing and assembling everything over two nights. The box comes with a phillips head screwdriver and your typical "L" type allen wrench. I wouldn't recommend using a drill like another user did, but only because the danger of overtightening the screws and splitting the wood. I found my personal screwdriver was fine for the assembly. I did use a ratchet with my own allen socket which I much preferred to using their supplied wrench.
The first thing I assembled was the hamper. I would say it was a good quality for the price and the canvas bag lookes like it is of a quality which will last for a while. Finish was in good shape and is a good looking piece in the collection.Read more ›
Our crib came with two identical back leg posts. We successfully used both legs, but had to rotate one of them and drill through the back side. The changing table posed no problems to assemble, but we will be adding corner braces to better stabilize it. The hamper bag seems way too small compared to the pictures, we couldn't get it to tie to the bottom rails. The dresser was a nightmare to assemble. Many of the pilot holes were misaligned or too large, requiring creativity and some glue. All four drawer bottoms were missing. We had to get replacements from the store.
