This is a wonderfully illustrated book that I will cherish for a long time. My daughter is half Korean and I wanted her to have some books in her collection that exposed her to the Korean culture. This is a great addition to her little library. The illustrations are colorful and really draw the reader in. I found myself studying the pages to take in all the details. The story is simple yet educational. Very tastefully done.

What is Chu-sok? This is a great read for a young child who would like to learn more about the traditional Korean holiday. Though this book doesn't necessarily explain the historical and cultural significance of the holiday, the book does serve a good purpose. It is a good illustration of the current/present-day expression of celebration for a typical Korean family. My [...] year old absolutely loves the book, and counts it among her favorites. The illustrations are top-notch; though, the text could be a bit more descriptive and have more depth.
