5.0 out of 5 stars Bittersweet song
The only thing I don't like about this song is that it is live, i.e., you hear the audience applause. Other than that, I think it is a very nice, bittersweet song, moving and sung with feeling. Voice and piano only. It is a soft pensive song that can easily bring you into melancholy, but that's what some good songs can do. Excellent selection for a free song. If you...

Honestly, the only reason I downloaded this song is because it was (dun dun dun). . .free. I'm always on the lookout for freebies so I snagged this one as well. It's ok, just very simple and not very catchy. I think I've listened to it a total of once.

If you like the preview, you'll like the entire song. It keeps the same quality throughout the piece.

Ingrid never fails to be fantastic.

I have the original of this song and love it. However, the Live from Salt Lake City version is exceptional. In a way that the original does not, this version captures a rawness and a slight bitterness in her tone that makes it all the more appealing. There is honesty that can only be found in a live recording -- less production and more truth. Sound quality is high and is capable of being played at a louder volume without cracking or sounding distorted.

In truth, the greatest part to me is knowing that this tune is being performed -- and Ingrid is just as talented without mass edits and over-production as she is with all of that. She is an artist who is truly talented without needing any assistance, and is in my humble opinion one of the most talented lyricists out there today -- comparable to Sara Bareilles AND following in the footsteps of Joni Mitchell.

Definitely worth your purchase -- if it had not been free, I would have purchased it anyway. It was just rather a lucky day for me.
