5.0 out of 5 stars A Celebration of the Gibbs writing talents, February 6, 2000
This review is from: Soul of the Bee Gees (Audio CD)
From 1967 to the mid-80's, this CD encompasses some of the best covered songs of their career. From obscure ditty's like "Please Read Me" by the classic singer Nina Simone to one of the most popular covers of "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" by Al Green, this is a must buy. If nothing else, this collection shows the immense range of song writing skills and the varied styles the Gibbs have written with over the years.

5.0 out of 5 stars A rare treasure, December 5, 2002

Maiku "mammal80" (Somewhere In America) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Soul of the Bee Gees (Audio CD)
This disc contains some of the most wonderful covers of Gibb classics. Al Green's version of "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" is just so beautiful and soulful. Listen to Samantha Sang's "Emotion", this song was awesome before Destiny's Child did their cover. And the inclusion of Robin Gibb's "Toys" makes this compilation worth purchasing.
