Book Description

18 and up
This enchanting book has a simple message, deep within every person lives a soul bird, a creature who has thoughts, feelings, and dreams. Sometimes we can tell the soul bird what to feel. Sometimes it decides all by itself. With delightful drawings and poetic text, this book teaches us to listen to our soul bird and find out more about our true selves. When we hear the message of the soul bird, we understand why we behave the way we do. And once we understand our behavior, we can begin to live a happier, more fulfilling life. First published in Israel, The Soul Bird was an instant bestseller. Over the years its magic has spread around the globe, appealing to readers of all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars For All Ages, September 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Soul Bird (Hardcover)
This book was a real "Find" at a booksale. I intend to buy several as presents for my "grown-up" friends. Wonderful for sensitive children, it speaks to all of us who wonder why when we want to do or say the right thing we end up missing the mark. I'm giving one to my therapist as well, so she can tell me how to court this mischeivous bird.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful, gentle expression of our relationship to soul, July 19, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Soul Bird (Hardcover)
This beautiful, simple poetry expresses our relationship to soul. The illustrations and poetry demonstrate feelings that both children and adults will recognize in themselves. It is a wonderful way to show children ( and the child within each of us ) how to understand and accept themselves and all their feelings and behaviors as part of who they are; and how to "open the drawers" to joy. What a special gift to share with a child and those we hold dear.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love it, May 18, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Soul Bird (Hardcover)
This was the first book I ever read in Hebrew. As my friend set next to me and translated it, I was amazed at how true the authors words were. It is a children book for adults!
