Simply beautiful,
By A Customer
This review is from: Soul Catcher: A Journal to Help You Become Who You Really Are (Spiral-bound)
Combining colorful images, thought-provoking questions and statements and plenty of room to write, this "journal" is a great place to begin discovering one's self. There are several sections, each geared towards different emotions (love, anger, jealousy), and in under each topic there are pages filled with short, simple questions that truly make one think. I love that this book does not require the journaler to go from page 1 to 2 to 3 -- go from 40 to 3 to 12 if you like! Having a bad day? Analyze it under the "anger" section. Think you're falling in love with the wrong guy/girl again? Talk it over with your journal. The intro to the book is wonderful, too, and I truly felt encouraged by the authors to rip out pages I didn't like or to keep in my purse or on the fridge, or add my own artwork and photographs, poetry and prose. Overall, very encouraging for those trying to understand who "I" really is.

This review is from: Soul Catcher: A Journal to Help You Become Who You Really Are (Spiral-bound)
This journal is beautiful as well as practical. It is full of writing prompts, charts and artwork to inspire true soul work."Soul Catcher" is a guided journal complete with great artwork and journaling suggestions. The writing prompts are easy to relate to and inspiring, this journal begs to be written in. The section on fear and worries is my favorite I found that I could easily work through all sorts of road blocks in the way of my success. Another great section is one dealing with jealousy and obsession those often overlooked success blockers. Who wants to admit they are jealous much less obsessive? At the end of the journal is a recommended reading list that contains great suggestions for further exploration into the psyche. Sometimes a little bit of effort goes a long way. This journal will get you a few steps further than expected. So instead of letting your soul just flounder about why not start to catch it before it sprouts those angel wings.

Wonderful, beautiful book with great prompts,
This review is from: Soul Catcher: A Journal to Help You Become Who You Really Are (Spiral-bound)
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to journal. The book is divided into sections and each page deals with a different topic with several questions on a page. The authors encourage your to start with whatever section appeals to you at the time - you don't have to take this book in order of pages. They also recommend that you add art and/or collage to pages, rip out things you don't like or tear out pages and post them on your fridge if it is something you need to see every day. The questions themselves are well thought out and once you're done with this book you could take them to use in other journals. I highly recommend this book to journalers and those interested in art journaling - the authors include some of their own artwork which is beautiful.

I'm 25, African American, and a single mom. Somewhere in my twenties, I got sidetracked and put off everything I ever wanted to do.Just browsing the net one day, I came across this book which absolutely encourages and inspires me to jot down my goals, dreams, aspirations, and stick to them. I would recommend this book to all.........

Finding Your "Self",

This review is from: Soul Catcher: A Journal to Help You Become Who You Really Are (Spiral-bound)
This is a great book for those who love to write in a journal type forum and who wish that they could delve deeper into their psyche to further learn who they are and who they wish to be in this short lifetime. The book poses many questions to give the reader/writer an opportunity to look at themselves without fear and inhibition. The author's have also provided space to write your thoughts and feeling within the pages, as well as artwork that coincides with the different areas of "self" that are examined in this book. I highly recommend this book for those who feel that they need to re-examine who they are, or for those who may worry that they have lost important pieces of who they are and are trying to reclaim them.

Well planned and thought out, a participants book.,

What I like about this book is that it does ask but not necessarly needs your participation. There are little jobs to do and postings and art. It's very well planned meaning to me the authors really have a wishful intent. As with all good products this book demonstrates a theme which in fact is serviceable to the majority. That is rare! The fact the theme sticks with finding who you really are rather than changing who you are, is so intelligently relayed and has impact. This is not a book that will give you ideas of how to be someone else, but can offer you change if something is not in order. I wish to also recommend a good unbiased non religious approach at this same subject, SB: 1 Or God by Karl Maddox

This journal was given to me by my boyfriend on my birthday. That was a year ago, and I take time out to write in it whenever I find it or feel I need a prompt to give my writing a kick-start. In MY journal, I have cut and pasted images from magazines to make a collage on some of the pages, and added my own favorites to the quotes the authors have on the bottoms of selected pages. I have crossed out and changed some of the questions to make them my own. This is a book that encourages you to customize it, and that's just what I did.
