I bought this CD when it was first released, and played it over and over. Like most people who buy a lot of music, it then went to the rack. It is amazing, however, how it keeps resurfacing. Evey six months or so, I come across it while looking for something else, and the impulse is to pull it out and listen to it. It then remains in the "recent" section of my CD collection because I know I must play it several times before retiring it once again. This review was spurred on by the fact that I had pulled this CD out, and wanted to know if Miki had done anything recent. Unfortunately, there is nothing new. This CD is basic and raw. The emotion is right there, in your face. Clean, strong, gutsy support from the musicians. Great horns, too. And that great voice! Very highly recommended for those who like their blues with a country edge. Buy this CD.

If you love R & B you really need to check out Miki Honeycutt! Her voice is incredible and you will get lost in thought listening to her music. I pop it in when I'm driving in traffic to soothe my soul! Definite thumbs up, can't believe it took me so long to find her considering the huge soul music fan I am.

I used to catch Miki live with A-Train in Shreveport Louisiana years ago. She has an awesome voice. Miki is one of those gifted singers who does it without effort. Add it to your collection, she's simply unforgettable.

Great Singer, Great Soul, not enough singers like her anymore. Good southern Tone.
