Ending a 10 Year Search, October 6, 2002
This review is from: Soul Hits of the '70s: Didn't It Blow Your Mind! - Vol. 14 (Audio CD)
When I picked up this album, it ended a 10 year search. I had been searching for "When Will I See You Again" (Three Degrees) for 10 years. Whenever I heard it on the radio, I called the station to see what they had it on, hoping it was a recently released CD. Everytime it was either a pristine LP (which they would not sell) or a tape (cartridge) of the single. I looked all over the place and checked Schwann's on a regular basis. Finally, this album came out. I bought it instantly -- and did not have to pay the price of a rarity! I like the other songs as well. The sounds of Motown are good. Hearing great bass on "Let's Straighten It Out" to great vocals on "Never Can Say Goodbye" to pep on "You Little Trustmaker" really starts a Sunday morning off right. I got this album for a single track, but the rest of the tracks made it a real treat.
