Ouch!! Existentialism, August 31, 2008
This review is from: The Soul of Kierkegaard: Selections from His Journals (Paperback)
The Soul of Kierkegaard: Selections from His JournalsWhat can I say? This book is complex and like the existentialist, a bit complicated and the answer does not always hit you in the face. The Author, did not grow up in the best of times, and all through his writings his message makes indirect reference to his life. The author is labeled as a Religious Existentialist as compared to "Camus" who is a noted "humanist existentialist".
The author, in my humble opinion and lack of love for this type of writing, did portray an abstract attack on why religion and faith should play an integral part in you life. This in comparison to the humanist, black is black and white is white. Camus's books,to me, is easier to read .His book, "The Stranger", is excellent and a little scarey
If you have a quiet place, no disruptions and at peace with your self, buy "The Soul of Kierkegaard",and I wish you alot of luck.
