5.0 out of 5 stars A must have album
Let me just say that if you have not got this album, please purchase a copy of it. I recently got another copy because the first one was damaged and I was not best pleased. Favs on the album include All my tomorrows and If You could see You...these songs are deep and emotional.

I agree that Kenny Lattimore is underrated and I am also very disappointed that...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first CD
Unfortunately, Kenny Lattimore is not as good a songwriter as he is a singer. After listening to the first couple of tracks, I knew that he had succumbed to the "I want to write and produce myself" syndrome. There is nothing on this latest release that can begin to approach the beauty and lushness of "For You" or "Never Too Busy", two...

I agree that Kenny Lattimore is underrated and I am also very disappointed that this album has been discontinued over here in the UK. I had to order my second copy from the US, unbelievable!

Anytime you want to listen to a tasteful, emotional, well put together CD then this is the CD I would recommend 100%.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!, March 15, 2004

It's 2004 and I've just purchased this CD, I wish I had purchased it sooner. Kenny Latimore is definitely an underrated R&B singer. He has such great talent, his music is so smooth and mellow, you can listen to his music all day and night. His music is so deep. The title of this CD is definitely appropriate coming from the depths of his Soul. I had to listen to his version of "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" and compare it to the original Donnie Hathaway version, and I must say they are really close. "If I Lose My Woman", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Tomorrow" are my favorites, but the whole CD is slamming!!! I haven't been able to put this CD down since I first heard it. I play it at home, in the car and at work. It's very thought provoking as well as relaxing. Great Job Kenny! Keep up the good work!! I'm a fan for life.

5.0 out of 5 stars UNDERRATED GREATNESS, June 11, 2000

Kenny Lattimore has to be one of the most underrated R&b singers around today.. This man is such a great talent when you hear him sing such great r&b greats like Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding comes to mind .. Mr. Lattimore is a throw back to these great singers.. In matter of fact he does a great rendition of an Donny Hathaway classic Love You More Then You'll Never Know to hear him sing this is worth the price of the cd alone.. Other noteworthy songs on a great disc: Days Like This, Trail Separation, If I Lose My Woman, Well Done( My Personal favorite on the whole album).. This CD still gets a lot of play in my CD player.. If you havent put this in your collection you just dont know what you missing ..

Many of the reviews that are posted on this site are overly positive about albums so I can see why one would be skeptical, but this record is just an amazing listen from beginning to end. This is better than the Jill Scott record and on par with a lot of Stevie Wonder's works.

5.0 out of 5 stars To this daY!!!, December 12, 2003
This review is from: From The Soul Of Man (Audio CD)
Even after all this time..this CD is still in heavy rotation with me! Doesn't matter if I'm on vacation, shopping or cleaning, Kenny stays close by. This is one of the best CD's..and I will never tire of it! Anyone that doesn't appreciate the beauty of this mans' voice must be deaf! If you just listen to the way he plays the words in "My Guitar Gently Weeps," you can picture what it must have looked like when God swept his hand over the bare earth and let the rivers flow and the mountains tower!!!! Sweeping, Weeping...Willows!!! Dynamite stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars The most underrated album of 1998?, January 23, 2002

This album was the bomb! Kenny Lattimore deserved to go platinum with this disc, but it fell through the cracks and on deaf ears. Great cuts include "Days Like This," "Trial Separation," and the cover of "My Guitar Gently Weeps." Lattimore doesn't stoop to r&b chiches (heads-up, Joe and Sisqo!), and that's probably why he isn't as popular as he should be. Nevertheless, you owe it to yourself to give Lattimore a chance by grabbing this disc. You'll kick yourself for not discovering him sooner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Timeless, July 11, 2006

Timeless masterpieces. I bought this CD back in 1998. I am constantly looking for new music, and recalled this album. I am going to purchase this CD again to replace my misplaced CD. It is so refreshing to hear talent that can be thoughtful, representing an intellectual demographic. Buy this album, turn the lights down, light some candles, and maybe indulge in a glass of wine. You will thank me, or should I say - you will thank Kenny Lattimore.

And I still play the heck out of this CD! This man has a beautiful, soothing voice! Where does it come from...phew and his remake of Donny Hathaway's "I love you more than you'll ever know" and the Beetles "my guitar gently weeps" should have been nominated for grammy's. But as usual the best isn't always rewarded. This entire CD...one track to the next..is superb! When I close my eyes and really listen to Kenny's voice..my soul unfolds like a flower seeking rain...

I absolutely, positively...recommmend this to everyone! Your soul collection isn't complete without it! This is smooth soul at its very best!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the BEST cd!!!, January 2, 2002
This review is from: From The Soul Of Man (Audio CD)
I bought this cd after hearing Kenny's first cd and I must agree with another poster that the first cd had a few cuts that hit me but this cd is the quintessential best!! It's comparable to Anita Baker's Compositions cd where everything on it is just superb.

I have the cd for the house and the cassette for the car. I just can't get enough of this one. My favorites are Well Done, Heaven and Earth, Make Believe and If I Lose My Woman. No music collection should be without this cd.

4.0 out of 5 stars So Smooth, October 31, 2001

This is just the kind of cd you pop in when you feel like listening to one great song after another. I put in the cd and listen from begining to end, then start all over again.
