I stumbled on this selection thru a general search. I listend to a sample and it was o.k. so I ordered it as a lark; thinking smugly to myself; "Let's see how full of it this kid really is.". What a SURPRISE. The songs are heartfelt without being over the top. Production is sound, and without dead wood. Each track is worth hearing. His voice is smooth and mature, and he glides thru lyrics with ease. If you want to pigeon hole it, it's pop to easy listening but that's selling it short. All in all a really good listen. It's a good choice for those of you who have varied tastes and have the courage to pick what you like instead of buying what MTV and Rolling Stone dictates. This album was clearly done for the music, and not just to satisfy a teen idle's audience--I assume the open shirt on the cover did that. I liked the songs, so I overlooked that. (O.K., I confess. I am also a woman, so I overlooked it a couple of times if you catch my drift.) But chest, or no chest-- It turns out Joey Lawrence is a talented musician. Give it a listen.

The words Joey Lawrence uses when he writes his songs are increadable. I bought this CD about a year ago and it has remained my absoulute favorite to this very day! I listen to it whenever I get the chance and I would recomend it to anyone who is looking for a CD full of songs about love that still have a toe-tappin' beat! I guarentee anyone who listens to these songs will be swept off their feet! §:0)

Ohhh, where do I start. Jo-Jo is the best top to bottom. His music touched my soul. Two words...buy it!!

I love this cd, and I loved the first cd and I own both of them. People think of Joey Lawrence, and they think of the slow witted guy from blossom, nobody ever took him seriously when he brought out his cd. That does happen to make me a little mad, because there are some really good songs that are sung by him. "Night by night" on the self titled cd is one of my alltime FAVORITE songs, and anyone who has listened to it knows what an accomplishment it really is on his part. Enough complaining. All I want to say is, Joe, if you're reading this, I take my hat off to you for having the guts to do what you want to despite what people say, because people like me look past propaganda to see the truly great stuff in life. Thanks for sticking with it.

This CD is great!! Joey Lawrence's voice has matured quite a bit since his first album and he sounds awesome. Of the ten tracks on this CD, 5 are more upbeat and 5 are slower so everyone is happy. Most of his songs are about love and he wrote or cowrote all of the songs. The tracks, in order are: Never Gonna Change My Mind, Ven Ven Conmigo, Soulmates, Timeless, Me and You, Cypress Park (All Good People), So Much Pain, I Wish It Could Be Me, If You Wanna Get Down and Time. The lyrics are fairly clean and the message isn't negative so it is appropriate for all ages. The CD, put out by Curb in September 1997, is highly underrated and doesn't get any of the attention it deserves. It is good to see that Joe will continue in his music career as well as his acting and directing career as he is good at all aspects of show biz. Way to go, Joe!

i didnt know what to expect when i bought this CD, but i sure wasn't dissapointed!!!!!! joey is extreamly talented, he has a great voice and great lyrics!!!!!!!! i highly recomend this CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't really ever listen to Joey Lawrence until now. I am sooo glad I bought the CD. I would recomend this CD to anyone who likes R&B or him. I think that all of the songs are good especially Never Gonna Change My Mind. It is just a beautiful song and CD.

Joey Lawrence proves that he is a multi-talented individual! Great music and vocals. You will love it!

Joey Lawrence, this kid has looks, body, voice and rhythm. Why did this album fail at radio and sales? I am baffled.

When mindless trash like LFO and Eminem are hitting the charts and selling records Lawrence who has all the rhythms, dance beats, and ballads to make the perfect pop album fails.

His first single "Never Gonna Change My Mind" hit club play, but never surfaced on the radio, probably because he is Joey Lawrence (stigma)....just like Deborah (Debbie) Gibson who keeps putting out wonderful material every couple of years has difficulty due to (stigma)....Soon that will happen to Mandy, Britney and Jessica too.

Other standout songs include "Ven Ven Conmigo" and "Time". Quite a tasty treat of pop, and Lawrence can sing with the best of them....too bad it didn't catch on.
