I haven't heard much else from Death Cab for Cutie, though I'm told that their songs tend towards the gloomy. This one doesn't quite fit that bill, though; it's upbeat, undeniably catchy, with a lovely rhythm and arrangement. It takes a while to absorb the lyrics, so I will leave that to you to do on your own.
You won't get tired of it.

OK, I must admit, I am a lyrical freak, I listen to every word of every song and ascribe meaning to it, so songs become very personal to me. And this song is no exception. Of course the line "so brown eyes I hold you near, 'cause you're the only song I want to hear..." yes I have brown eyes so I think that is extra sweet and special.

Our filthy hands can wash one another's??? Great!! Love love love the musical arrangement of this song. Very artistic, emotional and well done.
