I just recently learned about Mr. Slakah and watched his video "Enjoy ya self" online. Before a minute was up, I knew that Slakah was an awesome artist. I immediately found his album online and have been listening to it non-stop. It is rare that I find an album that I can listen to without skipping over any songs, and this is one of them. From the Intro on, my attention was captured. Slakah also features Drake on a couple of songs, one of which is "Share", a short song with a catchy vibe. I am an underground, neo-soul music junkie and am ecstatic to find new talented artists. I am so thankful to have stumbled upon Slakah because his album is pure genius. I look forward to Soul Movement Vol. 2!

It's not often i get to say that about new releases, but this is duch a nice, smoove set of tracks. I found out about it from a co-worker of mine after my tri-weekly b**ching sessions about the sad state of what passes for new "music" and he hit me with an instrumental of a track by this cat. I immediately looked it up and downloaded it from Amazon the minute i got home. This brotha's abilities cannot be denied. He is THE TRUTH!

This album is hot!! I didn't know anything about Slakah the beatchild until watching Neo Soul channel the other day and saw the "enjoy yourself video". Listened snipets from amazon and i had to have it. Wow is all i can say. This is feel good music.Keep doing what you do my brotha.

This album is absolutely Impressive I enjoyed every song from beginning to the end...And now its got me wondering when are coming out with something else!?

This album it definately on point...it gave me chills, definately one to get to listen too for those warm summer nights,cruisen in the car or relaxing,playing music at a backyard barbeque!!!!Very, Very, Nice!

not sure how to really rate the item you're asking me to review, because you didn't send me what i ordered. the photo icon SHOWED the correct cd, i ORDERED 'the soul movement' by slakah the beatchild, but what i GOT was slakah's SECOND ALBUM, 'SOMETHING FOREVER' which is a pretty good album, but still...that's not what i asked for! instead of sending it back and going through all that rigmarole, i just bought 'the soul movement' from another vendor on the amazon website who is (apparently) more familiar with slakah's work than the amazon fulfillment guys. i guess they just figured 'it's the same name, must be the same product'....uh, NO! so, although the product, in and of itself, is a satisfactory item, it was still the wrong item; therefore, the experience was not what i expected from your fulfillment center.

I have no idea how people listen to garbage on the radio and skip music like this...

Slakah is one of the best out right now. Radio should play this guy, but he is not a sellout so I guess he will never get love. Especially in the USA, where only dumb people listen to what the major lables push.

Go grab this album. You will not be disappointed!
