I bought this CD sight unseen, I had never actually heard Betty Harris before, but being a big fan of soul music, I thought I would give it a shot. Boy, was I blown away! Betty Harris has unbelievable phrasing and a great voice. These recordings from the 60's just illustrate the difference between music then and now. The music is just beautiful. This is a very overlooked singer (I say that 'cause nobody I know has ever heard of her, either). Listen to this CD late at night and tell me you won't be moved.
