Honestly, I bought this CD because of it's low price. The music is majestic, sweeping and beautiful. It's hard to pick a favorite song. I do appreciate the national anthem, since I am over 1/2 Polish and I had never heard it before. Makes me even prouder that I am Polish, hearing some of the beautiful music that has come from that country.

Highly recommended for those interested in hearing music from Poland. These tunes are readily accessible listening and played to perfection by the 1001 Strings. It includes tunes by Chopin, the sweeping National Anthem that is easily one of the best national anthems in the world, plus folk melodies, mazurkas, polonaises and polkas, all fully orchestrated in good digital sound. In many ways and on many tunes I was reminded of Rodgers and Hammerstein, especially their The Sound of Music movie soundtrack. I loved these songs and the CD remains one of my all-time favorite CDs. Enjoy!
