5.0 out of 5 stars JUSTIN ADAMs MASTERPIECE NUMBER TWO
The first one was desert road and was stunning ,but this one is a bit better ,fuller ,stronger, more ecstatic ,and with less ambient elements.Fulani music from Gambia with an african folk blues sound present again in this album .AWESOME and among the best world ethnic releases so far .Excellent, rich , and earthy vocals from the Gambian master musician JULDEH CAMARAH...

Having already greatly enjoyed the first (mainly instrumental) CD released under Justin Adam's name, I bought this latest one with high expectations of another unique blending of the "world of rock" with the motifs of North Africa. In a sense, this new CD fulfills that, except that I was thinking more of an instrumental exercise rather than one built upon the vocals of Juldeh Camara. The reality is that this album is mostly focused on Juldeh's singing and his own playing, accompanied by Justin and sundry other musicians. If you are looking for a very good African vocal album, buy this. But if you really want an instrumental "mood setter" type of experience, I'd advise you to stick with the first CD that Justin Adams released a few years ago.

KUDOS to all the musicians here but especially to JUSTIN ADAMS.

Not a bad album.
Has some interesting cuts.
I would have preferred more acoustic sounds and much less of the electric guitar, which to my ear doesn't do the music much justice.
I enjoyed listening to Juldeh Camara play. I think I will buy some of his earlier recordings of traditional works.
