Book Description

She has spent her entire life fighting death. Now she’s falling in love with him. . . .

Audra Grayson became a nurse in order to help save lives. But one night after a brutal beating, she almost loses her own. The near-death experience opens a door between the world of the living and the world beyond. Two Grim Reapers invade her life. One is charming, with the angelic blonde looks of a saint and the black soul of a psychopath. The other is dark, dangerously attractive and, in spite of her distaste for his reaper duties, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to him.

When Audra's patients begin to die unexpectedly and her loved ones are threatened, she will risk her life—even her soul—to save them. But can she risk her heart to an inhuman being whose very purpose is to take those she is trying to save?

About the Author

Alicia Dean writes paranormal and romantic suspense and is the author of four published novels, two novellas, and a handful of short stories. She has three grown children and lives in Moore, Oklahoma. Alicia loves nothing more than crafting spine-chilling, edge-of-your-seat suspense. She's a huge Elvis Presley fan, and loves MLB and the NFL. If you look closely, you'll see a reference to one or all three in pretty much everything she writes. If she could, she would divide all her time between writing, watching her favorite television shows-such as Dexter, Vampire Diaries, and True Blood-and reading her favorite authors...Stephen King, Dennis Lehane, Michael Connelly, Lee Child, and Lisa Gardner to name a few. 5.0 out of 5 stars An impossible love, made real August 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Alicia Dean tells a story that couldn't happen, yet it does. I found myself liking the reapers in her story more than Audra's normal friends. Mostly because they brought a perspective to life that humans can't. I guess doing a job for hundreds of years will do that. Yet, like the rest of us, reapers are motivated by emotions we can only call human, jealousy, anger, and, even, love.

Love Soul Seducer and looking forward to reading more from this talented author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Death is Sexy as Hell! July 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Not since seeing Brad Pitt in "Meet Joe Black" have I been rooting for death to triumph! In this story, Alicia Dean has given us two deaths to root either for or against. I found it interesting that the fair-haired, golden-boy Gaylen was the evil, rule-breaking rebel of the two reapers, while the dark-haired Dimitri with the soiled soul, was actually the rule-abiding good guy.

Her characters were well developed, from the abused housewife you wanted to shake some sense into, to wise-cracking, pain-in-the-butt Cassie, to the brooding Dimitri...death trying to make up for his own dark past. The opening scene draws you in with every heart stopping detail...our heroine, Audra, as the victim of a violent beating, too weak and near death to spit out a mouthful of gravel and blood...and in too much pain to care who wins the battle of life and long as they make her pain stop.

The story is well classified as sensual, in that Ms. Dean manages to create a dinstinctive heat between two beings--one human, while the other is frustratingly non-corporal. Even without the element of physical touch, she managed to make sparks fly.

This was an enjoyable read for me, and I highly recommend Ms. Dean's "Soul Seducer", from beginning to satisfying end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soul Seducer is an excellent book! July 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Soul Seducer was an excellent book! It was fast paced and well written. I was immediately drawn in by the characters and the plot. At one time or another we've all experienced a loss of some kind or other. I think it was the commonality that made the story have an emotional impact. I especially liked Dimitri and Gaylen and that age old battle between good versus evil.

Ms. Dean did a fine job in bringing such well written characters to the page. I look forward with great interest to the future works of this talented author.

Format:Kindle Edition
Soul Seducer was a great read! There was a few parts that had got on my nerves!

Audra.. she was annoying and blaming others! never owning up to her mistakes. She realy ticked me off alot! But for the things that I liked, Dimitri (hot hot hot) who is very supportive and protective ! The hook up scenes were really HOT!! and whats not to like about that right! The book had it good guys and bad! Reapers, and steamy romance!!! All in all it was a good read! I would recommend it!

Looking foward to more from Alicia Dean!

5.0 out of 5 stars SOUL SEDUCER creeped me a good way! July 4, 2012
By LeahDee
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ever pictured the Grim Reaper? I have, and it sure never looked anything like the reapers Alicia Dean creates in SOUL SEDUCER! Dean's reapers are human-like in appearance and action...except for the part where they can suck the life out of the living. (Real people can't do that.) :-) But Dean's reapers WERE real people who, after passing on, were assigned the task of helping other mortals cross the threshold from life to death. And just like real people, some are very, very bad, some are very, very good, and some are a mix of both.

Every time I read an Alicia Dean book, I'm amazed at the level of creativity she brings to her characters and plots, and I just keep reading to find what the next page will reveal! SOUL SEDUCER didn't disappoint...although it did leave me with a few visions of phantom entities lurking in the shadows, prepared to pounce, whether I'm ready or not!

And if that wasn't enough, there's a great love story thrown in the mix that satisfied the romantic in me.

Terrific read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reapers in Romance-nice choice! January 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this book because I thought the idea of dueling reapers was interesting and very clever. It's difficult when the guy you like hangs around your workplace waiting for people to die. It further complicates things if you've had a near death experience and are the only one that can see him. Anyone who likes the paranormal genre but is looking for something just a little different will enjoy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creepy Fun June 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Dean is one of those authors where you read their stuff and wonder what goes on in their twisted imaginations (and if you're an author, you envy their twisted imagination). Soul Seducer manages to weave murder, domestic abuse, and serial killers with questions about the after-life, the true nature of death, and the ties that bind (and tear) us apart.

As a reader, the book offered enough questions and cliff hangers to keep me reading. As a writer, I have a lot of respect for Dean's ability to write wounded, not-sweet-as-pie protagonists that have foibles and make mistakes. Audra definitely worked my nerves but as much as I wanted to shake her, I kind of liked the fact that she wasn't fully likable. It's a hard line to walk (as a writer), the unlikable heroine versus the dysfunctional heroine, and I think Dean manages to hold the boundaries well.

Not to mention, the hero is the kind of alpha male mixed with gentleness and take-charge attitude that I can get behind. He's got a past but I appreciate that he doesn't cling to it and use it as a reason to push people away. I especially liked it when he confronted Audra on some of her more biased viewpoints (read: her "I save lives. Death is bad.").

This book is definitely worth reading.
