Well I must say....the cover art is the reason I bought the album. It looked pretty different to be in the Gospel section at Walmart. I was taken away by the cool blues and warm browns.

Great artwork... now on to the CD

the first three tracks and the last four I can say are good enough to play in a church/worship setting. The other tracks sound borderline "worldly". Don't get it twisted, I am a true music lover and walking chrisitan but If its going to have the title of Gospel..im going to expect to hear about alot of Christ and the worship of him. There is alot of mention of God but I feel that a borderline way to get into the Gospel Industry. If I want to listen to worldly music...im going to go all the way with it. I dont wanna hear tracks that say they are Gospel but sound very border-line.

tracks 1,2 and the last four make me give this project 5 starts. The sound is fresh. Nice for playing in your car on the way home from work or on the weekend or even in the even in the weekend when you're winding down. Shoot...this is a good cd to rock in a freshly washed and detailed car with the sun roof gaurd open and the cool AC blowin' (its all about atmosphere) :)

The fact that he plays acoustic guitar is nice. The last three tracks sound Isreal and New Breed-ish. But Leon puts his own spin on the acoustic guitar sound. Making it his own. I would recomend this to a New Christian who is in transition from their former selves into the new self. and or a Christian who is a music conisuer looking for something different to listen too (but firm enough in the christian walk not to go back into listening to whatever)

Leon timbo is what neosoul/gospel music lovers need in there library of greats. I am shocked that this man hasn't been picked up by the big labels and hasn't had more exposure. The soul that imminates in his songs soothes away those daily problems that you're going through. I am not the over zealous religous type, but I can definately appreciate his music. Buy this album! I ran across this hidden jewel of a singer on youtube, jamming with Tyrese and R.Kelly so I initially thought he was R&B. Then, I saw some more of his work and realized he was gospel...no matter what genre he falls under, he weaves a spell that manages to wrap itself around your soul. It takes you back to when music was music and you enjoyed listening to it from beginning to end. If you sleep on this artist, you can count yourself as having missed out on one of the great (as yet)unknowns of our generation.
