Book Description

#1 Amazon Bestselling Author DIANA MURDOCK introduces SOULED.

“This book isn't typically the type that I pick up, BUT I couldn't put it down! The author does an amazing job characterizing Seth and Dani, and as a reader, you're rooting for them from the very beginning.” ~ Elena Aitken, author of Nothing Stays in Vegas

“I enjoyed this book. It was dark and light and I think brought together with a great balance. We have soul possession..: With a twist! I actually liked the lost soul…or felt compassion at one point. Do not judge me! Read the book and see if you agree.” ~ S.B.H.

“To say I was pleasantly surprised would be a vast understatement. I truly couldn't put it down.” ~ I.M.

* * *

One boy… One girl… One 1500-year-old soul hell bent on coming between them… permanently.

The lure of having it all is strong, and when 17-year-old Seth is given the opportunity, how can he say no? And why should he? The way he saw it, he had everything to gain. But when he unknowingly invites another soul to share his body, Seth discovers that not all power is good – especially when it was never his to wield. And when the soul reveals its true intentions, will Seth have the strength to fight it or would death be less painful?

But love is a powerful force, and despite everything, Dani knows that the boy she fell in love with is hiding somewhere behind the darkness in his eyes, and she’s not about to give up so easily.

Enter the most unlikely ally Dani will ever know – dark, misfit, and totally misunderstood Alyx, who has her own secrets she’d rather no one know about.

Time is running out and Seth is quickly losing control. Dani must rely on the truth in her heart – and Alyx - to pull the dark force out of Seth. But will the power of love and faith be enough to conquer evil? Or is it too late for both of them?

“Bravo! Another great book by Diana Murdock! I could not put this book down!” ~ V.M.

“Overall, we experience love, courage, commitment, suspense, and action. I am a fan of YA and I must say that this book hit the main points.” ~ M.G.

“From the very first page I enjoyed this book. The author took you to a place unexpected while creating characters you believed in.” ~Steena Holmes, best selling author of Finding Emma

5.0 out of 5 stars Scalp tingling suspense within June 19, 2012
By Cassia
Format:Kindle Edition
Last time I read a good YA book was an Indiana Jones series I read in my late teens. Well, now I'm a 37-year-old completely drawn inside the world of Sandpoint, Idaho. I can't wait for the paperback copies to be ready. I have a niece's birthday coming up and I believe this to be the perfect gift for a 15-year-old.
So, let's outline why I like it:
The characters are real and engaging. You see the dynamic in this group of teenagers very much like any high school scene. Some of it you may be nodding to yourself for having experienced it firsthand.
The paranormal action was intense. It was reminiscent of Star Wars, but a little scary like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Strangely I even found myself feeling empathy for the lost soul at one point in the book.
And the flow of the book was amazing. What with the interruptions of working full-time and taking care of twin 5-year-olds, I managed to finish this book in a little over a 24-hour period. Well, a part of that could have been the intensity toward the end.
Great book! I hope there is a sequel. Ok, I'm really hoping for more than one sequel...more than a trilogy.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Souled! June 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I haven't read a book in some time that has kept my attention like this one, mostly because I can't sit still long enough to do so. But this book, I couldn't put down! I loved the suspense, the characters were familiar to me, could have been friends from high school, or my own kids, so I was immediately connected. I found myself reading during any spare minute trying to learn more about soul possession and wanting to read more about the setting, Sandpoint, Idaho. The foreshadowing of intense circumstances between the main characters Maxim and Seth, kept me curiously reading and the implementation of Alex, whom I'm hope shows up in a sequel to Souled, kept the plot moving. This is definitely a book that will keep a teenager's attention and I think is even appropriate for preteens, as I was talking it up big time with my 12 year old niece. As a forty-something reader, I was glued! But I will recommend AGAIN, by the same author for readers in my age group. Another "can't put down" read!

Without giving too much away...
By the end, I couldn't 'click' the pages fast enough. Gripping and intense.
A YA read, but I recommend for all.
Pick this one up when it's released, you'll be glad you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down June 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Quite possibly the best YA I've read in a long time. I loved the change in POV from Seth, who is experiencing the worst demon possession a teenager could have, to his girlfriend Dani at the half-way point. We start out knowing, at least in part, who the demon is and how he's manipulating his host and then suddenly it's all taken away in the shift from Seth to Dani, which leaves us wondering exactly what the demon's fully realized plan would be. It was like knowing there was a ticking bomb somewhere in the building and knowing it would explode in a very short time, but having no idea where it was. Loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kind of plot that makes you go, "Ohhh!" September 29, 2012
Disclaimer: I edited this book. (So yes, you can blame me for typos.) Before I agreed to work on it, though, I asked to read it first. The author is an acquaintance of mine, and I was concerned that it might be amateurish, and I would have to let her down easy.

To say I was pleasantly surprised would be a vast understatement. I truly couldn't put it down.

The plot is original and surprising. The characters are fleshed-out and distinctive. Most important to me, it was NOT predictable. God, I hate that. I hate figuring out the ending of a book halfway through.

I have gone from "editor" to "stalker-fan" and am constantly begging her to read chapters of the sequel. I can't wait to see how this all turns out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something extra special - Recommend to everyone!, September 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Diana Murdock is one of my favourite authors. A year or so back, I read her first book, `Again'. It has haunted me ever since. This new book is no different. I read it a few months ago and yet again, I can't get it out of my mind. The plot is genius, unique, full of suspense and the characters are fascinating, realistic and very easy to associate with. This, in itself, makes for an awesome book; but there is something else that makes Diana's work extra special - and that is quite simply the heart and soul with which she writes. There is power in her words that sucks you into the world of her story and locks your mind on the tale she has to tell. Ms Murdock is an incredibly talented author and I shall be buying this book in paperback for my daughter who also happens to be a Diana Murdock fan. Diana, thank you for sharing this story with your readers, I've said it before and I'll say it again. You absolutely rock.

I really liked this book! It was different than any book I've ever read, I can say that for SURE.
It made me go through emotions I didn't even know I could feel, which was interesting.
The plot was solid, the writing style was nice, I liked most of the characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Pls! July 27, 2012
By Mineliz
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The only this I can say is Poor Seth. For wanting more that he already had he got in a shit load of troubles for a buck. This book kept me on the edge on my seat the entire time I was reading it. And I cannot believe it is a single book. I want more. It way very intriguing reading a YA book on a guys perspective. But it was worth it.
