This is a cd that you must have. Shirley is awesome with this cd. She is really put a message out to those that feel like there is no hope in life. All the songs are great! I have listened to this cd at least 5-6 times in a day. Get your dance, shout and praise on! Every song has a message.

I almost cried when I first heard this song. I heard it at the right time and hearing it makes me strong.

Every song on this CD is great. The Favor of God is a great inspirational song and I love myself better should be heard by every woman.

The Soulfood CD is very good. I enjoy Shirley Murdock's music. She and awesome artist with a beautiful voice. Thank God she's singing Gospel.

This CD is so uplifting and theraputic. Shirley out did herself on this one. I can listen to this CD from beginning to end without skipping one song.

It has been 5 long years since the release of Ms. Murdock's first full length gospel CD titled "Home". That joyful and long anticipated Disc was well received by Fans and Critics alike. Now, with "Soul Food", Shirley cuts deeper into the soul of "Home". I can listen to this album from beginning to end without missing a single note. What carries the album throughout is that Great voice I grew up listening to. For you Ol' Schooler's who listened to her in the 80's....You'll love the Remix to F.O.G.; the albums' first single. The standout track on the entire CD is "I love me better than that".

there's a really good song that made me buy the cd, "i love me better than that". for me the cd was worth it for that song along. honestly i wish a few of the songs had been a little longer. the cd has a powerful message and i recommend if for anyone going through something.
