This is one of the most SOULFUL CD's on the market for us 70's children. Teach Me How to Love is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written that never get ANY air play! I am a collector of 70's Soul music and trust me you will love this is you like/remember Black Ivory, Blue Magic, The Moments, The Ebonys and the Intruders (for you serious oldies lovers). Buy it!

For those of you who remember the "Blue Light in the basement" parties this is for you. "Spell" and "Tear it Down" have to be two of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Can anyone tell me why the hit songs were edited? Spell and Welcome to the Club have 1 and & 2 minutes edited out! . No Fair! Overall, a wonderful listening experience.

Back in the day, there were group that perfomed and groups that brought the whole house down. BLUE MAGIC was a member of the latter. This collection is filled with classic gems that nobody will be able to replace (SIDESHOW, THREE RING CIRCUS), and introduced me to tunes I had never heard of before, but are just as beautiful as the tunes everyone remembers (LAND OF MAKE-BELIEVE, TEACH ME). Even there dance tunes have that bounce that will give you reason to jig it up (LOOK ME UP, MAGIC #). Anyone who is into real music MUST have this disc, because it's not always about who you heard on the radio or who performed at the concert, but how they affected you while listening. These guys are definitely part of a legacy that will never be denied.

i'm a little behind in the 70's cause i born in the late 70's, but i'm one of the best collector of old school love songs ( SPELL ) is my favorite song BLUE MAGIC made 8 or 9 album their 1983-(magic #) is hard to find but i found it in baltimore,md for 25 dollars--BLUE MAGIC is also one of the first soul groups to be on a rap label called ( DEF JAM RECORDS)-back in 1989 record title called (FROM OUT OF THE BLUE)

I could never say enough about Blue Magic in 1000 words, but I will try. Yes, the Temptations are the greatest of all time, but Blue Magic is simply the best in R&B soul. I have been following the Blue for 20 years and I consider myself their biggest and most loyal fan. This soulful spell projcet contains some of their most popular songs. However, if you ever get a chance to hear some of their not so popular songs, you'll be surprised. Some of those songs are better than the more popular ones.

I must admit that I tracked this album after listening to 'Look me up' on the radio during an excellent soul show (Soul Cellar). I wanted an album that had as many tracks as possible in the hope that there would be some other gems. I was not disappointed. All n' all a very delightful album and, one for any soul fan's collection.

I've heard many falsettos but none are as different and masterful as the great Ted Mills. My dream is to either hear their albums in full or see them in person. The Delfonics and Stlyistics are good but Blue Magic was very different and thats what makes them the best to me, how they would go thru great lengths to stand out. Hands down they are the best.

this is real soulful singing&very deep.i am really feeling this set.these Brothers can really sing.there voices are something else.one of the baddest vocal groups ever.this is very essential for Lovers of soulful groups&artists alike.

The quality of this cd is higher than the other 2 "Greatest Hits" cds commercially released to the market. However, unless all the group's albums, in mint condition, are in one's soul music collection portfolio, the songs not on this cd warrant the acquisition of the other cd(s). The group, featuring lead singer Ted "The Wizard" Mills, produced enough sweet soul gems to firmly entrance the group into what would be the "Sweet Soul Hall Of Fame"! The anticipated release of several of their albums on cd will allow access to a number of other gems never before released on cd. The "Magic Of The Blue" album to name one, loaded.... with "Looking For A Friend" and others. Enjoy the music of Blue Magic? More treats are on the lps. When the cds reach the market, buy em'!
