After reading Arielle Fords' book, The Soulmate Secret, I found myself reflecting for quite some time on what I'd read. Many of the principles and excercises that she advocates were new for me, and some even challenged my beliefs as I'm a conservatively trained psychologist. Yet, the more I considered her approach, the more I agreed with so many concepts. The fact that one must first love themselves and be comfortable alone resonated to what I tell my clients every day. I especially appreciated the call for action that change requires. 'Luck' doesn't just happen; it happens to the prepared mind...and soul. To paraphrase Arielle: 'you have to help the universe along.' The excercises were easy to follow and provide just the right mix between deep relaxation and consciousness-altering suggestions. The book is well written and flows nicely. Arielle's own writing is interspersed with first person stories that effectively illustrate the point she's making. Reading between the lines, the book holds a deeper secret that Arielle touches on at several points. The importance of finding one's true soulmate goes well beyond the individuals' and couples' satisfaction. Love is synergystic and an energy that seeks expression. When soulmates connect, there is little drama and conflict. The relationship is based on trust, genuine caring and perhaps most importantly, a deep abiding friendship. Positive energy is invariably released into a world that needs as much of it as it can get.

The Soulmate secret is all about using the law of attraction to manifest your soul mate. While that might sound a bit metaphysical, and should, it's really just about rearranging your thoughts and putting out positive vibrations. Once you do that, you will align yourself to opporunities in love. This is one of the best takes on it that I have read. It's got some really good sound advice that isn't just hocus-pocus. If you do what the author says, it is a good possibility you will get what you want. It's all about opening yourself up to the possibilities. A great read, a good take on the law of attraction and a recommend.

If you're reading this book, most likely you find your life missing one thing...a sweet person to share it with. The feelings that go along with that can be devastating if they go on for too long, and it can be hard to keep the faith. I just read this book this week and my spirits are already so much higher than they were before reading it. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is getting depressed simply because they do not have someone to share their life with.

This is not a self-help book for people who continuously find themselves in destructive relationships or who behave in destructive patterns in relationships...nor will this book go deep enough to uncover unconscious patterns and the "baggage" that if you're human, you've got. If you haven't ever taken a look inside, done therapy, worked with your own "stuff" and done some healing, then I would suggest starting that process as well, because most likely it'll have to happen someday anyway and your life will be much better for it. But if you've already done a lot of internal work and yet still just have blockages that are keeping you alone, this may be the book for you.

I loved reading every page of this book, and am loving even more the peace that it is helping me feel, while I "savor the waiting". I will surely post again soon if/when I meet my One!

I want to believe that every book, no matter how terrible, offers at least one nugget that you can take with you. In this book, I learned more about the purpose of smudging in clearing your physical space and about mandalas. I am taking both of these nuggets with me on my love journey. For this and only this reason, I'm giving this book 2 stars instead of just 1.

This book has great love stories that don't seem specific AT ALL to the work done by the author. I counted only one story of a woman who'd used Arielle Ford's system to find a soulmate but the rest were just great soulmate love stories. Anyone can compile a bunch of really great soulmate stories (as she herself did in 2001's
Hot Chocolate for the Mystical Lover: 101 True Stories of Soul Mates Brought Together by Divine Intervention) but if it doesn't relate back to the work the author is doing in some way it makes me wonder if it works.

There wee also a few iffy "feelingzations" that seemed to be a more negative approach to ridding yourself of negative past relationships. Imaginng you're blowing up an ex's car comes to mind...

I read Kathryn Alice's "Love Will Find You" and found it to be an awesome book that helped me undo my MANY years of a dating drought. After reading this book on recommendation, I found it to be nearly identical in format and technique. The only difference being that LWFY had many more instances of people meeting after doing Alice's work. Arielle Ford's only addition is more New Age approaches but is essentially the same book.

I don't discredit her work or the fact that many people probably found their soulmates by reading this book. However, there is not much new here for someone who has used a Law of Attraction based dating/mating book. I

I'm a male in my mid 40's and it took me loosing my wife to start reading books to improve myself as person and maybe at some other point in my life to find "MY soulmate". Alot of the stories are great, some of the things that you should do were already in my (what use to be) appartment and my marriage but I was too busy reading books to improve my business and not taking care of my personal relation.

This book has opened my eyes and heart and I look foward to someday maybe meeting that special soulmate of mine. I'm actually comtemplating purchasing a kindle since now I've been reading a lot more on self improment and motivation. I love chapter nine of this book and if anyone, that has other books to recommend, I'm open.

I don't see too many reviews from "males" and hope that maybe my review will encourage some other male counterpart that is hesitant to pick this book up.

Absolutely incredible for anyone who is committed to finding the right partner!!
I read it three times and I have done all the exercises on the book.
Two weeks later I met my soulmate.
Truly revealing!!

Buy it if you are serious about changing your singlehood mode.

"I found The Soulmate Secret full of contradictions and lacking insight and wisdom into a divine creative design that brings true soulmates together. On the one hand, Arielle stresses the importance of forgiveness, forgiving yourself and forgiving past lovers to clear the path to your soulmate, but then she has designed exercises that border on black magic to rid yourself of old connections which she mistakenly assumes were all abusive relationships. For instance, imagining holding a can of latex and spraying all your ex lovers with it or another long guided imagery process in which you are to imagine your ex's car in your driveway and a tow truck pulls up and hoists it away up the street, to the highway heading North to Canada and finally lifted into the sky, out into Universe, beyond the Milky way. And as if that was not enough she guides you as the reader to imagine that you were holding a detonating device with a red button and to quote Arielle, "When I say Go, you are going to push this button and blow the car into a million pieces. Are you ready? 123 go! " I can't imagine a less forgiving and loveless exercise. And if one was to apply LOA laws to this imagery exercise, believing that the "feelingization" (to quote Arielle ) will manifest your will, you might want to warn your ex to stay away from his car. Thank God there is a higher intelligence working overtime to ward off black magic. All the stories seemingly support the notion that wish lists of ideals and image boards will command the Universe to deliver the perfect archetype of one's desires. Look for Arielle's next book, likely titled "Manifest the Perfect Indigo Child" There are a few jewels of spiritual truths sprinkled amongst the nonsense, but they are all quotes from other authors. For those jewels I give it one star.

This book included an excellent combination of practical and spiritual advice on finding your Soulmate. I enjoyed the "real life" examples and the suggested exercises, which I'm working through right now. It offered a positive, upbeat and hopeful perspective balanced with good, practical advice. I would recommend the book highly.

I have mixed reviews for this book, which is widely hyped on the internet. Her advice about clearing clutter and dealing with past issues is good, but it sometimes seems that she is saying that you have to be perfect to manifest good in your life. I think that most of us will find that we have to forgive certain people over and over - not just do a little ceremony and everything is fine. Her point about being open to new experiences is good and to view even bad relationships as being worthwhile to show you the person that you don't want to be with.
But just because you haven't found 'the one' is not necessarily your fault or means you are muddled up psychically. Make a list of all your good qualities.... and play them back over and over instead of bad thoughts so you won't settle for a relationship.

I loved this book! I have worked with a lot of "manifesting" books but this one just touched my heart with its message. I really feel like I can manifest my soulmate!

Arielle includes exercises she calls "feelingizations" that really help you to feel what your life could be like with your soulmate in it. I love the daily affirmation and love the part about "magnetizing" my soulmate to me. It is comforting and exciting to know that my soulmate is looking for me, just as I am looking for him. I say this affirmation at bedtime and in the morning and it sets a beautiful tone to my day and in my heart.

As I was reading this book, I was trying to get a handle on what it is that I really want in a soulmate. I was not only thinking of characteristics and personality traits but I wanted a certain energetic feeling as well. One day at work, while I was grappling with trying to write down what that energetic feeling was, an old friend came into my place of business (I own a wellness center) and as he came in the door it hit me in the face that this is the kind of energy I want from my soulmate. (This old friend is married). It was like the universe was helping me in my search!

If you're at all interested in finding a mate who sings to your heart, this is the book for you! You won't be disappointed.
