AlTonya Washington is a South Carolina native and 1994 graduate of Winston Salem State University in North Carolina. She released her first contemporary romance with BET Books in 2003 - Remember Love was nominated as Best First Multicultural Romance by Romantic Times Magazine. In 2004 she was named Best New Romance Author by the readers of Shades of Romance Magazine. Her 2nd novel Guarded Love was labeled a “Top Pick” by Romantic Times Magazine. Her third novel Finding Love Again won the Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Multicultural Romance of 2004. 2005 marked the release of her first Historical Romance Wild Ravens released by Genesis Press. In 2006, her fourth novel Love Scheme was nominated for the annual Romance Slam Jam ‘EMMA AWARD' as Favorite Steamy Romance. She released her sixth novel in January 2006 A Lover's Dream for the Harlequin/Kimani Press label. Book 2, A Lover's Pretense was released in August 2006. In March 2007, the highly anticipated A Lover's Mask Book 3 released in the Ramsey series. The popularity of the series prompted Book 3's release in print and e-book formats. Books 1 and 2 in the series are being re-issued as well. AlTonya's eight novel In The Midst of Passion was released as her first title with the Dafina Books label. AlTonya currently resides in North Carolina where she raises her 5 year old son and works for an academic library as a Senior Library Assistant.

I loved how AlTonya weaved lots of love and passion into this short story. She even blessed us with another set of twins, although they are only five years old. They seem like they are going to be heartbreakers. I would love to read more about Max and Jurel. Regina too. She seems like quite a character. You can tell right from the beginning the love that Max and Jury. You can feel their turmoil of them wanting to be together. We only meet the twins briefly but them seem like an intersting duo. Enders "SaraLee" - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)    Ms. Washington has done it again. What a wonderful short story... the only thing missing from this is the length of the story. I would really love to read more about Jurel and Max. The fact is I really liked the characters and want to know more and more about them. I certainly hope that Ms. Washington continues writing more stories whether they are short or long, she continues to captivate the reader.
