Exanding a new vision through the facinating Sylvia Browne.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
Soul's Perfection - Journey f the Soul Series, Book 2I have read all of Sylvia's recent books and this one to be largely in keeping with her other`s, with a concentration on how to cope in this "incarnation on earth", Karma and Synergism. There is discussion about Life Themes and both Life Themes and the Tenets for Living are restated and defined (from another of her publications). We again hear from Francine and Raheim, Sylvia's Spirit Guides. The thoughts in this book are not as well organized or presented as her in other books. Francine starts out with very few preliminaries from her or Sylvia, this would make it a difficult beginner book for someone who has not read others. Francine does not "sound" like the Francine in other publications. If you feel you have had a sense of how she speaks from past books, she speaks very differently, as a matter of fact Francine, Sylvia and Raheim all "sound" quite the same. There are quite a few meditational exercises which are nice and some repetition from her other books which reinforce and expand what you are learning from Sylvia, whether you accept her philosophy or not. I have found there to be great inconsistency within and between each of Sylvia's books, "Soul's Perfection" appears to be consistent within itself. If you are seriously intrigued by the philosophy of: "Gnostic Christianity", a contradictory name; the Society of Novus Spiritus; or a presentation on what "heaven" is or might be like, this will continue your journey. I have found these books to be fascinating and it has caused me to think very hard about my learned belief system. I look forward to the next book, they seem to be coming very fast which my be the reason for the lack of organization of this book.

Skeptics,This May be Legitimate!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
Skeptics, this book may be legitimate. Have you ever watched Sylvia on Montel or the Larry King show? People call in, and she can tell them all kinds of information about their families, jobs, and loved ones they have lost. She's usually very accurate in her readings of people who she has never met and who have not given her any previous information. I thought all this stuff was ridiculous until I saw with my own eyes what she actually demonstrated on the Larry King show. Furthermore, I understand that when she quotes Francine, her spirit guide, about God and spiritual matters, Sylvia is under hypnosis and the words are flowing without any conscousness or awareness on her own part. The only way you could dispute what she says under hypnosis is if you think that she is just lying and making it up in her books. After seeing Sylvia on TV, I believe she is very direct and honest, pulls no punches about anything, and yet has compassion for her callers. I would like to add that many of her observations and powers are very similar to the information that comes from George Anderson and James Van Praagh, who have also demonstrated their remarkable powers of observation of the afterlife for grieving persons on TV and in individual sessions. Sylvia's work also matches well with the observations of Walsch's Conversations with God books, which have inspired thousands of lives. These writers are so similar in their statements of an all-loving God, that there is no hell, that our loved ones are close to us, that we judge ourselves when we pass away, that heaven is wonderfully beautiful and joyful, that there is reincarnation, that God lives in us and we in Him, that Jesus was a messenger of God, that our loved ones and beloved pets greet us when we die, and that the purpose of suffering is to learn and grow spiritually. I know that the works of Browne, Anderson, Van Praagh, and Walsch have changed my life for the better and given me great new hope that I have not received in church, having been both a Protestant and a Catholic. I now love others easier, forgive others, am joyful and more at peace, and truly believe that there is a wonderful heaven awaiting me. Rather than just reading some of these authors' works, you should also see appearances by them on TV and see their insight into people and their communication with the afterlife when they are given no prior knowledge. Yes, I'm a very skeptical person, and I had to see it to believe it. I have always been a "doubting Thomas." I highly recommend all of Sylvia's books. I find that they work in my life and I feel my love for God and people have greatly increased. I would like to add that most of the reviewers who dismiss this book and Sylvia's other works really have not shown any definitive proof or logic to back their claims. They just say it is nonsense, but that doesn't add anything to the conversation. I would recommend this book and others by the authors I mentioned if you are open and want to love God and others more fully, be more joyful, and realize the wonderful life you will have when you reach "the other side."

What is she DOING?,
By
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
Perhaps the pressure is on from her publisher to crank out books at a frenetic pace - whatever the reason, there isn't much new information in this book (and I've read them all). The writing is disjointed and sometimes irrelevant; a clear sign that this book was put together much too quickly and without the benefits of a good editor. Considering all that Sylvia does in the typical day, how could she possibly keep putting books out at this pace and keep the information new and fresh? Chunks of this book were taken out of previous ones. I'd rather suggest to new readers that they read her earlier books, which were spiritually uplifting and much better written. I'm concerned that Sylvia is falling into the trap of commercialism and losing sight of her original goals. I used to truly enjoy her blatant honesty and quirky sense of humor, but now she's coming off as opinionated and borders on rudeness. I miss the old Sylvia! My advice for the book: pass this one over and opt for one of her earlier publications.

Much of the same from Sylvia,
By
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
In Sylvia's second book of her trilogy she covers such topics as the meaning of life, Karma, and Life Themes. If you have read her other books you may find some of this book redundant, especially her section on Life Themes. On a whole I would say this book is less esoteric than book one of this series. Even one who doubts her credibility as a psychic can learn some things about living a healthy life. Many people ascribe to the belief that they can't make anyone else happy if they themselves are not happy. Syliva points out that the way to becoming happy is to first make other happy by helping out where you can. As she says, "A day without doing something for someone else is a day lost!" She also touches on the theme of synergism in which she discuses the power of positive thinking. Along with these things Sylivia makes for interesting discusions of her own experience as a psychic and tries to make them useful to the reader. Many of these things are touched upon by her spirit guides Francene and Raheim. Finally I will repeat what Sylvia states, which is that everyone must take what they need or what they find is true for them. If you are a fan of hers you may find this book overly redundant. However, new readers may find this to be a good introduction to her philosophy.

Sylvia Browne Triumphs Again!,
By "pikeircop" (Forest Lake, MN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
Sylvia Browne takes you on a journey of un-imaginable proportions that can only be told through a psychic's eyes. When you read this book be prepared to go on a roller coaster ride of emotions as Sylvia speaks of the Other Side, or as most of us call it Heaven. Sylvia tells you throughout her book to not take her word for it, and look it up and find out for yourself. I, being naturally skeptical called her on it and went searching for the answers myself, and what I've found can only reinforce everything that Sylvia Browne speaks of in her book(s). Sylvia has an absolutely wonderful philosophy about life, and only if more people would adopt that philosophy, the world would be such a better place. Like I've stated before, I've done the research for myself, I've meet my spirit guide, I've astrally traveled to the Other Side, and am ready to tell you that this book can and will change your life as it did mine. Souls Perfection gives you insight on why, and how you should perfect for God. I think that you will find that The Other Side is far better than any of us could have ever imagined. Buy this book, as well as all of Sylvia's other books on her Journey of the Soul Series.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book. BUT it does come off as gathered bits put together, much of which seem to be from sessions at her church. Much of the content is also rehash from previous books - verbatim in spots. Her books also seem to be coming out at a good clip. That said, there were many points that gave me pause to ponder, which is why I buy, read and generally enjoy such books.

One Of Her Best,
By A Customer
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
Journey of the Soul (Part 1) adds in missing pieces of the spiritual puzzle. Sylvia Browne and her guide Francine make sense of our Soul's Journey, God and Creation, quite a task. I read Book 1 in a night and look forward to getting Book 2. If you are interested in this subject I would definitely buy the books.

Great Reading,
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
Sylvia Browne writes another book that directs us to get in touch with our spirituality and our soul which is the way to happiness. Her books are comforting and hopeful. She is realistic in agreeing with the tough issues of every day life but that we need to be aware of what we're all doing here.

Soul's Perfection 2,
By Tina Kudlick (Sterling VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
I have believed in God most of my life and did find the dark side to what Sylvia talks about. This book talks truth, given me answers to what I have been seeking through the soul and mind as I use to question myself about life. I use to wonder why I was so different in certain circumstances that I experienced. I am not saying I am psychic but am saying that certain intuitions and experiences have been a big question mark to me most of my life. Ignoring to try and find the answers I had gone astray and noticed my life changed when I did fall a stray from the church and from God. Sylvia has uplifted my soul and belief for God once again and this book as answered alot to what I wanted to know and have experienced. Sometimes some books just are not for every individual out there, sometimes it takes more work then others to understand where this may be going. In my opinion I feel Sylvia is doing a fine job in her books. I am feeling refreshed and also feeling the need to keep learning more as I keep awaiting for more to come out. I do have a concern, I was wondering the samething as others may be, why is it so much for a psychic reading? I could not afford that but someday hope to be able to meet Sylvia and have a reading when I do have money. I am young and starting out.

Soul's Perfection,
By A Customer
This review is from: Soul's Perfection (Journey of the Soul's Service, Book 2) (Paperback)
No matter what religious beliefs you have, this is a very educational book to read. It makes you think, it makes you look at the world around you, and it makes you realize just how insignificant our many trials and tribulations really are. Being a Gnostic myself, I am faced with a lot of static from many others who have quite different beliefs, but I am standing up for what I believe, as Sylvia says you should - and don't back down. Read this book and take out of it what you want and discard the rest - there is something in there for everyone.
