I read all of Soulshaping while flying to yet another spiritual retreat. I was looking everywhere for the answers I needed to move forward in my life. By the time I arrived in England, I had recognized something that I had easily misplaced in all my journeys- the journey lay within. I had read this in countless self-help books and heard it from my spiritual teachers, but I had never FELT it until I read Soulshaping. By taking me into and through his journey, Jeff Brown invited me inside of my own journey. By inviting me into what he calls "The School of Heart Knocks", I remembered my heart. I had been trying to find spiritual answers by detaching from my emotional pain. He let me know that it is okay, and even essential, to find my answers in the heart of my feelings and my personal relationships. Everything I was trying so fervently to detach from was the key to my transformation- the "grist for the soul mill" as he says. The key was that I saw myself in his journey. Everyone will see some of themselves in his journey. There is something about the very connective way he writes that makes you feel like he is in the room with you, sharing and self-revealing. All your shame and fear of the path falls away. I have been using terms from the brilliant Soulshaping Dictionary at the back of his book in my daily life (Who doesn't want to "Ascend with both feet on the Ground?"), and I go back to his journey whenever I feel disconnected from my path. What Criminal law lost when Jeff walked away, humanity has gained. If you read any book on your spiritual and healing journey, make it this one. It is grass roots and human and genuine. Very rare in this hyped up world.

After studying science, religion, and philosophy for more than 40 years, I have finally found a practical grounded approach to spirituality, a marriage between Eastern and Western consciousness that Jeff calls weastern consciousness, this is about ascending with both feet on the ground and living a full, meaningful, authentic life. Jeff Brown is showing us a way to live a spiritually grounded authentic life by sharing his journey with us, leading by example so that we can live our life's purpose here on earth. Others have shown us part of the picture, to love and forgive, and that pain and suffering are a result of not having our expectations and desires met, and Jeff with the paradigm shift of...this is as real as it gets and we are given this gift of life and this human body, a divine, finely turned instrument that if we listen and feel we are being guided from our inner spirit, the inner spirit that we all share. Jeff's journey hasn't been easy. He did suffer through a painful and tumultuous childhood. He became a brilliant criminal attorney and then the inner voice spoke to him, he resisted at first, and then explored psychology and bioenergetics, and still the voice, the voice he calls little Missy, kept speaking to him and finally he started writing the book Soulshaping, he was following his path, one that he had resisted for quite a while, he walked away from the financial security he would be having as an attorney and and a psychologist , both offering him financial security and prestige to follow his spirit voice. I am grateful to have found this book that has dramatically changed my life for the better, and for having the opportunity to meet Jeff Brown in person. He is real, wears no mask, plays no games. He is a wonderful, loving, honest, authentic, human being. We have an opportunity and an example set before us how to live an authentic, meaningful life. Let us wake up from our denial, our spiritual bypass, from our slumber to be here now. Thank you Jeff Brown.

Not all lawyers are soulless monsters, as many spurned people would tell you. "Soulshaping: A Journey of Self-Creation" is the story of one of Canada's top criminal lawyers and how he left his profession to search for his soul. Offering much food for thought as he tells a story that many readers will find relation to when coming to terms with their own soul and their spirituality, "Soulshaping" is a heartily recommended read for those who want aid in making an introspective look at their own souls.

I enjoyed the book to a certain level, but I think my chidhood must have been too happy to really appreciate the struggle that Jeff Brown endured. So many of the breaktroughs that the author achieves seem like things that I already instinctively knew. I suppose the gift of this book for me is that I appreciate my life and my parents so much more. I have been truly blessed.

At at time when many use there personal struggles and problems to explain why they can't do more, author Jeff Brown uses his own experiences to show us why we MUST do more. Presented in a way that is both inspiring and informative, Brown allows us to look at who we really are, not just at what people may see. He targets the whole individual and explains why we have to be careful not just how we live but also how we love.

You can't predict everything that will happen in your life or how everyone will treat you, but you change the way you deal with life. That is the true message that Jeff Brown showcases, and he allows us to see why we will be better off by doing so.

An incredible journey of the mind and beyond, SOULSHAPING is just what you need to help you live your best life each and every day.

Interesting journey of this author's life that resonates with those who
have the feeling there is "something more".

It's always interesting to me to read another person's journey and the stops they make along the way. This book was good for that, it introduced me to somethings I had not heard of before. However, the writer comes across as a very complicated man, which, in a way, is also interesting to read about. However, the book didn't really take me anywhere in the end. I felt a little bit like a voyeur into his life.

Jeff Brown writes from the heart, but with interest and humour. Its a very plausible journey and one which he has certainly travelled distance on; so writes with some authority. The subject is one which all of us face, at some stage in life, and Jeff takes us through his battle to 'relief and deep personal success'. The key though, is he tells us why things may happen the way they do. This book gives us the capacity and courage to find who we really are.
