It's all about what makes the recording business special. An incredible band and talent that existed long ago coupled with a great vocalist that you should be familiar with.
You probably won't hear it anywhere else so buy this CD. Some if not all will be at the top of your big band vocals collection.

Ruth Brown plus Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra with Richard Davis on bass, plus rip roaring arrangements. Words cannot express this phenomenon. Don't forget to buy the Joe Williams with Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra which is the other book end for this album. 900 stars.
