This special German edition features the both the original soundtrack (restored to the original sequence of songs as they play in the film). These songs are augmented with bonus interviews with director Robert Wise, composer Richard Rodgers and actor Charmaine Carr, who played Liesl. The second disc of this special set has the original translated German soundtrack recordings (remastered, of course) that played in German territories, known as "Meine Lieder - Meine Traeume". --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

What can I say? The Sound of Music is a wonderful and lovely CD. You watch the movie and you seee the songs. You listen this CD and you see the movie. It is an all time classic. Buy it; it is really a Best Buy.
