Be forewarned....while a perfectly good easy piano book, it has no lyrics so you can't sing along if you don't already know all the words!

This book is only "piano solo selections", it's written on the cover itself, only Amazon's "Look inside" hides it.

No lyrics, and no other instruments except the piano.

If piano is all you need, this one's for you. If you need more, stay away from this book.

The Look Inside shows lyrics and easy piano arrangements --exactly what we wanted. What arrived has NO lyrics and more difficult piano --not what we wanted. We would not have ordered it if the Look Inside had been accurate. We will not be ordering any more sheet music from Amazon.

If you enjoyed the movie or stage production and like to play the piano, you will love these piano arrangements of the unforgettable songs of The Sound of Music. I am not a very accomplished pianist, but I am able to play the pieces in this collection well enough so I can participate in making music and loving again the story and song of this classic musical. Most of the songs from the play are in this collection - "The Sound of Music", "Edelweiss", "You are Sixteen", "How Do You Solve a Problem like Maria", and others.

This is one of my wife's favorite movies. I got it for her at Christmas. We loved seeing it again and the blu ray was great. The extra footage with the cast was also very good.

I bought this for one of my voice students for her NYSSMA performance, only to realize when it came that it was an instrumental version. Had to return both copies (NYSSMA requires two copies).
