Bought the 4 piece (minus floor tom = three piece) at a garage sale for *cheap* for kids/garage set. Overall, not bad at all. Added used Ludwig floor tom with matching finish and added rings to snare/toms. I'm still working out baffling for smallish 20" bass. Not at all bad for a cheap kit (even cheaper used). It stands up tall next to beginner sets from larger brands. This does sound like a beginner set, but can be tweaked to sound pretty good with some attention. Plan on adding a few things to round out the set such as another cymbal (and stand). Once you do, you'll have a kit that sounds as good as some mid-level new kits as well as some very pricey vintage kits.
